Note to You Tube. :
Music was playing in the background and I have NO idea what it was. I had no way of shutting it off as I was doing the video at the time. Claim Fair Use.
First time using Imovie on my Ipad. Raw video as I walked around showing a bit of the machines they had there. It was hot in Alameda yesterday ( 72 ) and is even hotter in my living room right now ( 86 and apparently rising ) so I am glad I am in the bedroom !
I visited the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, Ca. Friday with my girlfriend. She LOVES pinball. They're trying to raise $1,750,000 so they can move everything into the former Carnegie Library in Alameda and are having a comedy jam at the museum on June 27th to raise funds as well.
If you love pinball go to this place. $15 for adults with unlimited play except for some that require quarters. There's also a shop with shirts and books as well. Alameda is a breath of fresh air after you go through the tube from Oaklland. No graffitti. No bums. No bars on windows. Clean streets and they don't tear down their old buildings, they preserve them.
We also drove down to the USS Hornet and saw what's left of the former NAS. Video on that next time we go down there.
If you love pinball or are from the 'Burgh and know why Andrew Carnegie was so important to people and libraries nationwide, give them a few bucks so they can move.
Pacific Pinball Exposition 2010 - Part 1
From Oct. 1 to Oct. 3.
Why did you put the video in two parts? You may ask. Well, youtube wouldn't let me upload a file that was 500 MB.
It was really fun! I won one of the tournaments on Friday, and later beat Michael Schiess in a game on Royal Flush!

This a wonderful opportunity to live in a charming 1922 craftsman bungalow while banking rental income from a super cute cottage in the rear of the property.
The 2+ bedroom/1 bath bungalow has much of its original character with built-in cabinets, gorgeous hardwood floors, a mission tile fireplace and more.
In back, the idyllic 2 bedroom/ 1 bath private clap board cottage has beautiful hardwood floors and a spacious floor plan with laundry.
And perhaps best of all, this property is located in a cute, quiet West End neighborhood, close to cafes, shops, the Farmer's Market, the Pacific Pinball Museum and more.

Oak Knoll Naval Hospital Tribute... continued
This is a sequel to my first video about Naval Regional Medical Center Oakland, AKA Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. The photos were taken over a year's time, mostly in 2009. The buildings shown sat empty for years, some half-demolished, most vandalized with graffiti and broken windows. These buildings were built in 1942 to aid the influx of wounded soldiers coming in from the Pacific. Now they are mostly gone, torn down to make way for a housing tract and businesses. We are currently working to get as many people as we can to show their support for a memorial of some sort on the naval grounds after demolition is complete. If you would like to join, the URL is:
Thank you for your interest! Feedback and any memories of Oak Knoll are very welcome!
