Sorry about the spot lights! I was originally in 5th row center, but could only see his upper body and could not see the orchestra! And someone next to me smelled really bad so I moved to my other seat!

Costa Mesa, called - The City of the Arts - is home to the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the new Segerstrom Hall, South Coast Reparatory to name a few and is hosts the local Pacific symphony orchestra, Pacific Chorale and many touring performances each year.
But the flourishing Arts community is not all Costa Mesa has to offer .
Costa Mesa is really unique because of its open spaces and weather (HERE GO TO FOOTAGE OF THE PARK AND SKIP TO HIS ANSWER) We are here at one of my favorite parks, actually my fave park (again cover with broll and skip ahead) the reason is that we have great ocean breezes, were close to talbert (continue through to end) by bike to the beach
The wide open space and calm ocean breeze also makes Costa Mesa the perfect destination for model airplane fliers
I love coming out here because its wide open space, plenty of room to fly, friendly people and a great field to fly
The city is also home to the Orange County Fairgrounds, which a local foundation hopes to purchase from the state in order to assure continued recreational use of the property.
I grew up here and I love Costa Mesa and it has so much to offer.
A variety of neighborhoods and commitment to diversity makes Costa Mesa one of the more accessible cities in Orange County, with housing in every price bracket. On May 15, 2014, the Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra (OCYSO) performed Beethoven's Ninth Symphony to a sold-out Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, CA. Presented by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County as its 60th anniversary season finale, the documentary follows OCYSO's journey as it prepares one of the most challenging works in the symphonic repertoire.
Discovering The Shore: Movement 4 and Final Thoughts
Artistic Director John Alexander sits down with poet David St. John and composer Frank Ticheli to talk about the collaborative process behind the creation of the new choral-orchestral work The Shore. In this segment, the conversation covers Movement 4, Redemption (Until the Sea Is Dead).
The Shore will be premiered by Pacific Chorale and Pacific Symphony on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, with John Alexander conducting.

Program Note:
CONCERTO for Alto Saxophone & Wind Ensemble (2018) was commissioned jointly by the Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble and the Mt. San Antonio College Wind Ensemble (Dr. Gregory Xavier Whitmore, conductor). The world premiere performance by the Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble—under the direction of Dr. Gregory Xavier Whitmore and featuring alto saxophone soloist Andrew Harrison—was presented at Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California on March 10, 2019.
In the first movement, the saxophone bolts forward with brilliance and energy. An equally virtuosic ensemble counterpart constantly amps up the tension, making for a lightning-fast musical repartee.
The second movement demonstrates the lyric capacity and sonic richness of the saxophone. In setting this dark middle movement, I strove to write sweeping lines and lush, film noir-inspired textures. The music here is lonesome and pensive, creating a warm atmosphere of haunting pathos.
The final movement is a jaunty escapade based on a lyrical, sweet melody. The tune meanders through a series of developments and variations, all the while showing off the saxophone’s extensive range, bright timbral possibilities, and extraordinary agility.
