Park Park was inaugurated on April 22, 1822 as a municipal cemetery for the rich and aristocratic Spanish families. On December 30, 1896 Dr. Jose Rizal after his death was interred in this cemetery. In 1912, this place ceased to be the interment and burial ground. In 1966, the place was officially designated as a park, the Paco Park during the term of President Diosdado Macapagal.

More than 200 years old, Paco Park in Manila has a rich and colorful history.
Built in 1807 as a cemetery for Spanish aristocrats, it was expanded in the 1820s to accommodate victims of a cholera epidemic in the city.
For some time, it also housed the remains of martyred priests GomBurZa as well as the first resting place of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal who was secretly buried there by Spanish authorities in secret to confuse Filipino revolutionaries.
The last burial took place in 1912. In 1966, Paco Park was declared a National Cultural Treasure and the circular-shaped promenade has since been a popular spot for outdoor weddings and receptions and attracts around 200,000 visitors annually.

Paco Park original name is Cementerio General de Dilao. It was once Manila's municipal cemetery and now a recreational garden built by the Dominicans during Spanish Colonial Period.
It is located in Gen. Luna Street at the east of Padre Faura Street in Paco Manila.
It is designed in circular form and a populat spot for wedding venue.

This is a full-length video of the live performance of soprano Aida Gurion-Rizalvo, pianists Fe Marsha Nicolas, Ma. Pilar Cadores-Dannug and Norvi Acedillo-Milad, and host/soprano Thea Perez last September 7, 2012.
Images and video footages were taken via mobile phone. Color effects were made via the mobile phone editor while audio extraction and videos/images assembly were implemented via laptop video editor.

This is kind of an experiment to try a different way to present a slide show. I do like videos better myself, but I have many pictures and would like to show them also.This seems to be a nice way to show them. It is my first attempt and I am sure the next time it will improve. I already realize I should have had birds or something distant in the background.
