Pak Chong Street Market: Thailand's Most Authentic Place.
My adventure in Thailand continued when I arrived in the laid back town of Pak Chong in central Thailand. It is a relatively non-touristy town with an excellent street food market. I ate some amazing Thai food and enjoyed the lively street. If you are interested in visiting Khao Yai National Park, Hello Hostel in Pak Chong is a good place to stay.

During our trip to Thailand we had the chance to feed and ride Elephants! Such awesome animals!

Just another budget Thai hotel. Very basic. The only advantage is location quite close to the train station, opposite to night market and just behind bus station. Do not suggest by the picture on the web - it's not as good as it looks on them. It's quite old, dirty and smelly. They have vinyl mattresses!!! Horrible! The worst bed I have ever been sleeping in. On the other hand it is cheap. We turned up with no booking and after some negotiations we got a discount. Anyway - if you come late to Pak Chong and need a place just for one night before you go to Khao Yai National Park I would recommend to contact some guest house (for example Bobbys Apartment - watch our other video) that will get you cheaper and better room, will pick you up from a station and organise a jungle tour! If you have to stay at Pakchong Hotel, one night will be probably enough. Generally not recommended.

Early morning visit in Pak Chong, Thailand.
We left Ayutthaya after one day. Seen the ruins before and in no mood for hordes of tourists. We took another train for 2,5 hours and got off at Pak Chong. We found a cheap chinese hotel and I got up early to go for a run when I had to stop and check out the early morning market which hardly ever disappoint. Glad to be back and headed north east.

Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram, Big Buddha Pak Chong Thailand
Big White Buddha statue at Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram temple in Pak Chong Thailand. The statue can be seen from the main road between Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). Also written as
Wat Theppitak Punaram. The new motorway now also passes very close to the temple and statue in the Klangdong area at Pak Chong near Mauklek. Lid up by white lights in the evening, a beautiful sight and recommended attraction to visit on your travel in Thailand. You can walk the 650 stairs to reach the statue on the top and to enjoy the great view from there. Located near Khao Yai and many other attractions nearby.
