One Day In Panama City | The Capital Of Panama
Discover Panama City - The Gateway to Central America | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
Welcome to Panama City, the capital and largest city of Panama!
If you google Panama, one of the first things that will appear in your search will probably be the famous Panama Canal. That is no surprise, as it is the biggest tourist attraction in this Central American country.
Why is this 80-kilometer long canal so amazing you ask? Well, it is a shipping shortcut that connects the Atlantic and Pacific ocean, significantly shortening all water travels.
Even though the idea of such canal dates back to 1513, the construction didn’t start until the late nineteenth century. The project was delegated to French engineers, but it had to be terminated due to skyrocketing costs, harsh conditions and heavy personnel losses caused by tropical diseases.
The project was restarted once Panama gained independence from Colombia and signed a ratified agreement with the USA. On 1 April 1914, the construction was officially completed, but the opening for commercial traffic was postponed for 15 August 1914 due to the outbreak of World War I.
Politically, the Panama Canal remained a part of the US territory of until 1977, when the process of transferring territorial control to Panama officially began. It was finally completed on 31 December 1999.
Today, this technological marvel operates around-the-clock, with some 40 vessels passing through each day. The system consists of three sets of locks, which raise ships from sea level to the same height of the Gatun Lake. The canal allows shippers of commercial goods to save both time and money, which results in lower consumer prices for everyone.

Pandilleros, A Wish to Live - Panama City, Panama
Produced by Art of Living Productions
More about the Art of Living: artofliving.org
More about Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: srisri.org
More films: artoflivingtv.eu
This is a powerfully moving documentary about life in the ghettos of Panama, Central America, and the potentially violent consequences of life on the streets. The film gives an insight into the lives of some of the youth who, through feeling they have no other option, turn to gang life for a sense of inclusion, protection and comradeship-things that were lacking in their formative years growing up. Enter the Art of Living Foundation and its powerfully positive life changing programs, centred on breathing techniques, yoga, meditation and social reformation projects. The film follows the progress of some of the youth who have been involved in gangs, and how their experiences and perceptions of life blossom for the better, as a result of going through-and sticking with-the courses that the foundation introduces to them.
Sri Sri founded The Art of Living as an international, non-profit, educational and humanitarian organization in 1982. Its educational and self-development programs offer powerful tools to eliminate stress and foster a sense of well-being through powerful breathing techniques such as Sudarshan Kriya and Yoga. Appealing not only to a specific population, these practices have proven effective globally at all levels of society.
What is Yoga?
The secret to health and happiness lies deep within every human. Yoga is the science of discovering one's own self - the very source of pure consciousness, peace and bliss. Everyone knows that we don't feel good and we get stressed when there is disharmony in our lives, when our bodies are tired and our busy minds constantly chatter and judge. Through the discipline of Yoga we become more aware of ourselves by doing simple postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation to rejuvenate the body and quite the mind. It is in this manner that we cultivate harmony in ourselves.
What is Meditation
Settling the surface mind is meditation. Living in the present is meditation. Relaxing deeply is meditation. When you are really happy, reposing in love, you are meditating. Meditation is that space when the thoughts have subsided, and the mind is in complete rest.
What is Sudarshan Kriya
Sudarshan Kriya incorporates specific natural rhythms of the breath which harmonize the body, mind and emotions. This unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions such as anger, frustration and depression, leaving you calm yet energized, focused & yet relaxed. Millions around the world have done this unique practice and have reported better quality of life.
One day in Panama City, Panama - Xiaomi Yi 4k
Panama City has some very nice spots to offer. In the video you can see areas such as Avenida Balboa (Cinta Costera), the old town (Casco Viejo). Great places to eat are for example the fish market or the restaurant Mordida del Burro in El Cangrejo. We used the metro and taxis to get around in the city. There are several places to do shopping such as Albrook Mall, Multiplaza and Multicentro.

PANAMA, EXPLORING the ultra-modern METRO system of PANAMA CITY (CENTRAL AMERICA) ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit the The Panama Metro, which is a modern metropolitan rapid transit system in Panama City, Panama, It was inaugurated on April 5, 2014, and entered revenue service on April 6.
It was built to relieve the traffic congestion between the city and San Miguelito District, and it operates seven days a week and 365 days a year.
The Panama Metro is part of a major “National Master Plan” to improve transportation in Panama City and the west side of the country, which includes the construction of two more metro lines and a light rail line. It currently consists of one 15.8-kilometer (9.8 mi) line, serving fifteen stations.
Panama is a country on the isthmus linking Central and South America. The Panama Canal, a famous feat of human engineering, cuts through its center, linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to create an essential shipping route. In the capital, Panama City, modern skyscrapers, casinos and nightclubs contrast with colonial buildings in the Casco Viejo district and the rainforest of Natural Metropolitan Park.

Just a few highlights of my walking tour of #CascoViejo (Casco Antiguo), one of my favorite neighborhoods in #PanamaCity, #Panama. Although I couldn't tour the entire neighborhood, I was able to spend some time walking through some of the famous plazas, churches, and I made it to the southern tip of Casco Viejo, known as Punta de Chiriqui. Walking through the cobblestone streets combined with the French and Spanish architecture, you are really transported back in time. This neighborhood is full of character and is a must when visiting Panama.

Kink BMX in Panama City, Panama
After a trip fell through last minute to Honduras (due to some real world problems)…we decided instead of not going anywhere…to find the next best place that was cheap enough to enjoy. Panama City, Panama came to mind. After a few phone calls and text messages to some people that have been there…the tickets were booked, and our luxury sky rise apartment was payed for! Besides that, we didn't know much about the place, or what we were getting into. Come to find out, the place is stacked. The footage you see is a mere 3% of what there is to ride in the city. Security is super tight, police are everywhere, and it is just plain not easy to ride spots there. You have to take a completely different approach to filming and riding in Panama; one that not many of the dudes are accustomed to. With all the hassles of security, strange people, language barriers, and cops with machine guns…we had an amazing time, and are stoked to have been able to not only ride some new spots, but meet the locals and have an awesome session. Thanks to everyone down there for the hospitality, and especially Ramon Pereira for the help and support during our trip.

Panama City, Panama Travel Guide 4K (Visual Vibes)
Beautiful people, rich culture, amazing weather, world-class restaurants. But a few years ago, all I knew about Panama City, Panama was the Panama Canal.
I started coming here in 2010 and I haven't stopped visiting since. There is so much more to Panama than just the canal. Panama City is such an underrated spot in Central America. It rivals Miami in a lot of ways.
In 2014, I saw a beautiful young woman walking her pup down the beach in Playa Venao right outside @el sitio. I had to say hello and introduce myself. Her name was Kary and unfortunately she was leaving, but we exchanged information.
Side note: Playa Venao is worth a weekend! We'll drop a video soon.
A few years later I am back in Panama and Kary graciously offers to show me around the city. Without hesitation, I accept, and I am able to film some amazing locations around this great city.
Every time I come back to this city it's like a family reunion. I've lived in Panama City for up to six months at a time, and I've made some amazing friends there.
This trip was no different. The best part - this time we were able to film. There is so much footage that we will be dropping a second Panama video on May 15. This first video is the visual vibes joint. The next will be a recap of my time in Panama with a VERY special announcement in it.
Every time I come to Panama I have to link up with my boy G who owns Voltage Studios. They shoot some of the biggest commercials in the country. He laced us with some epic aerial footage for this video.
Then, when I'm hungry, I know my boy Mario is always making it happen. Pretty much the godfather of dope restaurants. I'm not just saying this because he's my boy. Check TripAdvisor or the NY Times.
In this video, I visited his Botanica Restaurant and simply - wow. It's in an area of the city that is reminiscent of San Francisco. I could see brunches here being off the hook.
Kary also took me to Taco Le Neta Casco in Casco, and OMG some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I was in love with the place and I wanted to film but one of the guys in there said no. I just ate my tacos enjoyed my time and didn't argue.
Then, come to find out, Mario is part owner there. I knew the best (taco emoji) couldn't be far from Mario.
I could go on and on about food. Mario’s has younger proteges in the city as well. Jose at Donde Jose, #1 restaurant in the city on TripAdvisor, Chombolin at Intimo...
I swear you can come track me down if you don't like the food at these places.
A ferry or short 20 minute flight from Panama City is Contondora, with some of the most beautiful waters you will ever see. The island is super chill vibes.
The reason I don't have a six-pack is because I love cookies and ice cream too much. I found a solution here. @keene ice cream. It's all natural ice cream made from the freshest ingredients. I'm a little sad you can only find it in Panama. JP was trying to transport a case back with us.
If there is something I like to do, it's helicopter tours. Panama City is easily one of the top tours in the WORLD. Literally, within two minutes you are going from high rises and ocean views to epic jungles.
It's wild to see the contrast in scenery. Our pilot was straight G. He used to fly around the ex-president of Panama.
There are some things I don't mind paying a little more money for and taking a helicopter is one of those things. It's those once in a lifetime things but a lifetime memory.
So we know I could keep talking about food. Hot sauce at Sista House. Afro-Panamanian food. But you can't eat all day and not workout. One of the coolest things in the city is Cinta Costera. Here you'll find people exercising day and night. They have it all there. Running paths, basketball, soccer, dance classes.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about Panama. I love the city and the people. I created a PassportHeavy guide for Panama City that you can find through the link in my bio.
I want to thank @Jp.isaacs for shooting and editing the video. @isiah music composer for creating a masterpiece. @Maisabelrtr for making the trip happen.
Thank you Panama.
Thank you to all of my friends for making it happen.
Come follow the adventure on @passportheavy
