Old Lifting Bridge | Paringa SA
Video recorded in 2007 . Crossing the historic Lifting bridge next to the town of Paringa in South Australia. The Paringa bridge was built in 1927 for the railway extension over the river Murray into Renmark and was designed so that one of the steel spans could be raised to allow the river boats to pass through. It carried a single track railway down the center and road traffic down both sides. The last train ran across the bridge in 1983 , but it still lives on to carry automotive traffic.

This is a video of Heading Cliffs and the Murray River in Paringa South Australia taken with my DJI Phantom 3 Professional. Due to wet weather on our road trip through NSW we couldn't gain access to Mungo National Park so we took a detour and ended up in Renmark South Australia.

Paringa park Nowra NSW Australia. Metal detecting with the Garrett AT PRO. I found a fair bit of junk and some decimal coins. The signature of the bottle caps was around 75-79 on the AT PRO. This is also around the range of a variety of coins. To discriminate them out means you stand the chance of missing some good finds. Conclusion, just keep digging. Starting to get used to the garrett, however I still would purchase the minelab excallibur 2 if I had the money. For the average person entering into metal detecting for the first time I think the atpro is value for money.

I attached my phone to the underside of the B trailer to show EXACTLY how close the truck gets to the bridge. Hell that is a scary sight.
There are a lot of drivers that refuse to take a rout that goes over this bridge because over the years there have been a lot of left behind fuel tanks!!

Murray Bridge is the largest town in the Murraylands, South Australia region. With two historic bridges near the town, the Murray River carves through mostly farmland at the lower reaches of the river's journey. Enjoy a paddle boat cruise on the Captain Proud, skiing, rowing, swimming, sailing and much more. There's some great walks in the area and Murray Bridge and Swanport have some very large agricultural production. The Murray River Bird gives you a great view of this historic town and wonderful stretch of river! Enjoy!

South Australia's section of the Murray River has some spectacular limestone and sandstone cliffs you can enjoy. As you drive from Morgan to near Mannum along the Scenic Murray Cliff Drive you'll see some some spectacular sites that really show you how old the ancient river system is. Massive volumes of water during the ice ages carved these ancient cliffs that still contain seashell fossils. The most famous is Big Bend near Nildottie, a 12 kilometre S shaped cliff of inspiring shear drop from top to bottom. Beautiful. Enjoy!
