One of the best tourist activities you can do in Paris is to take a bike tour OF Paris. You see a lot really quickly, with less energy than walking, and have a fun time doing it (along with some great stories from some knowledgeable guides). Definitely book a bike tour with Bike About Tours if you're going to visit Paris anytime soon.
My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa and hoping to make the city of light my home base - at least for the foreseeable future. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlog daily, and love pizza a little too much.

You're always talking about living on some ship. WHAT SHIP? - I made a Draw My Life video that explains a lot here:
Where are you from originally? - Pullman, Washington - a small university/agricultural town near Idaho (and yes, the potatoes are amazing).
What do you film with? - I've made a lot of changes recently, but I try to keep my gear list up to date if you want to see what I use and buy some for yourself:
What do you edit with? - Adobe Premiere - it's pretty much all I've ever used since high school.
Aren't you ever freaked out by leaving your camera behind to film yourself? - Yep. But not too badly - I tend to be careful when I do.
Why are you living in #Paris? - Because I've always wanted to; I feel at home here:
Do you speak French? Oui.
You talk a lot about the books you're working on, what are they about? - They're sci-fi (and fantasy) and I've got a decent pitch for you here:
Do you make money off YouTube? - Ha, no. I wish. It took me over 500 videos to make my first total $100 off adsense. I think it will slowly change, but VERY slowly.
I really enjoy your videos, how can I support you? - The easiest and best way to support me is through Patreon, where you can pitch in as little as $1/mo to help me make better videos:
I don't trust this Patreon thing - can I just paypal you? - Here's my ko-fi if that's your thing (and coffee is your game):
But I want to send you something tangible! - I do have a wishlist on Amazon, though it's a bit complicated with the international shipping situation. This is the US one:

Roll like a French, ride like a Parisian. Paris, the city of motorcycles and motorcyclists.
You don’t need statistics to discover that in Paris motorcycles are a favorite form of transportation. Driving a motorcycle/scooter around the picturesque streets of Paris can be the best and cheapest thrill the French capital can offer. Being able to see new corners of the city, zooming up the hills of Montmartre, and using it for secret encounters as President Hollande famously did with his lover Julie Gayet. In addition, motorcycles cost the Parisian less than a Navigo pass for public transportation. As part of a four year trial, it is now legal for motorbikers and scooter riders to ride through stationary traffic. They'd been doing it all along, sure, but now it's legal as part of this four-year trial that has also been rolled out in Marseille, Bordeaux, and Lyon. But remember, it can be a bit miserable in the winter or the rain to ride a motorcycle. Many motorcycle riders wear an apron made of leather or some weather resistant cloth during cold winter months. The aprons protect riders from rain, wind, cold, dust, and mud.

We Should Have Done This on Day One - Fat Tire Tour Paris
This day was one of our favorites on the whole trip. The kids did so good and it was so great to have a whole morning where they weren't having to walk everywhere. We wish we would have done this on the first day because it gave us a great overview of the whole city. It may be a little expensive for some budgets but I promise it was so great and the tour guides are awesome at answering questions. Honestly, I think that any trip you take to a major city like Paris you should go on at least one guided tour.
Thank you Fat Tire Tours for letting us experience Paris on wheels!

Why are you living in #Paris? - Because I've always wanted to; I feel at home here:
Do you speak French? - Oui.
Do you make money off YouTube? - Ha, sorta. I wish. It took me over 500 videos to make my first total $100 off adsense. I think it will slowly change, but VERY slowly.
