Pelverata Falls Walking Trail | Full Walk Time Lapse | Tasmania
Time lapse video footage of the Pelverata Falls walking track at Pelverata, Tasmania.
ABOUT THE WALK:
Plunging from a substantial height of around 100m, Pelverata Falls is an impressive waterfall located in the Snug Tiers Nature Reserve. Accessed via a 6km return track the walk to falls takes only 2 hours, although additional time is recommended to experience the area. The falls are particularly impressive after sustained rain.
Leaving the carpark the Pelverata Falls track initially hugs the perimeter of farming properties before breaking off into dense eucalyptus forest. For the next kilometre the trail gently undulates, passing through a section of rainforest. After rain the track here can become quite muddy and careful footing is required.
After the rainforest section the track climbs along a large rock spree before steeply and briefly descending towards the Pelverata Falls lookout platform. To the right on the distant hill Slippery Falls is spotted. At the end of the track the lookout platform provides the most remarkable views of Pelverata Falls and the creek below. Return to the carpark via the same track.
More experienced hikers will spot the rough trail below the lookout leading to the creek. This track is rated as difficult and we do not recommend inexperienced walkers or children venture beyond the lookout, especially if wet as the rocks are extremely slippery. Walking beyond is done at your own risk.
GETTING THERE:
From Hobart head south along the Southern Outlet (A6) for 10km. Take the right hand lane at the Kingston Bypass and continue on for 2km before taking the 3rd exit to Huonville at the roundabout. Continue towards Huonville for 10km before turning left onto Sandfly Road. After 100m turn right onto Pelverata Road. Continue on this windy road for 12km before turning left onto Crosswell. The trailhead car park is located 1km up the hill. Take care while driving as there are many tight turns.

Jeffery's 4wheel track in Hobart, Tasmania with a suabru
This is our first time drive in this 4 wheel track with Subaru. I started loving my Subaru even more after this drive as i found the traction control was perfect for this drive. I was advised not to go through this track with my 220mm clearance vehicle by the track keeper, but i took it as challenge and i had a good time. This is an ultimate 4 wheel drive track near Hobart connecting Wellington Range from Lachlan (near New Norfolk) to Crabtree and provides a through route from the Derwent Valley to the Huon Valley. The track joins the Crabtree Road northwest of Crabtree, 8 kms from the Huon Highway at Grove. It is 14 kms long and is full of rough tracks and boggy soil and above all deep holes.

Exploring the South West of Tasmania via 4x4. A few fun tracks around Arve Road out the back of Huonville down to Geeveston.
Jefferys Track -Tasmania 4x4
A short trip up along Jefferys Track and back out White Timber trail. The first time using the GoPro so go easy lol, also the first edit in this software which wouldn't upload in 1080 ???? along with learning two different cameras was full on. I've learnt heaps so hopefully the next one is a improvement. enjoy.
The White Ox | Jeffreys Track | Tasmania
Jeffreys Track connects with the White Timber Mountain Track near Judbury in the Huon Valley, effectively serving as a thoroughfare between the Huon and Derwent Valleys, saving you the trouble of going all the way around via Hobart, and, more importantly, providing excellent 4WDing opportunities.
Still pretty wet and muddy after a big rain, the two tracks made for a slow and fun drive, where we had to winch, dig and maxtrax our way out of, until bush fires raging nearby drove us from the area…
