Pure Ludington, Michigan
Shot this beautiful piece when I was home in Ludington, Michigan. Got the chance to film part of a local festival called Ludrock which features surrounding area bands for 2 days. Also timed it just right to film the local carfare depart Ludington toward Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Marquette Memorial, Ludington, Michigan - REAL USA Ep. 82
On the banks of Pere Marquette Lake, sitting on a spit of land sticking out into Lake Michigan, is a monument marking the place near where Pere Marquette, the Jesuit missionary and explorer of the mid 17th century died and was originally buried. Although the exact site of his original grave has been lost to history, the relatively small parcel of land dictates that if the marker is not in the exact spot, it cannot be far off.
