KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Pescadero State Beach is located on Highway One roughly 15 miles south of Half Moon Bay and in Pescadero, California 94060 in San Mateo County.
The day use area is open daily from 8:00 am to sunset. No camping is allowed.
Dogs and pets are prohibited on the beach and in the Natural Preserve at all times.
Drones and fires are not allowed. Collecting any natural resources is also not allowed — so no shell collecting at this beach folks.

There are 3 parking lots on the western side of Highway 1 with beach access.
Northern Pescadero Beach Access Parking Lot: There is an $8 parking fee which is payable daily upon entry to the park and the sandy beach is accessible from two locations in the parking lot. There is a single vault restroom and no running water.
Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve and Central Pescadero Beach Access Parking Lot:
The rocky beach is accessible at the southern end of the free parking lot by the way of a narrow stairway. There is a wooden stair case on the eastern side of the parking lot which will take you a pedestrian walkway along the Highway One Bridge. Once you walk across the Highway One bridge, access the marsh by walking under the bridge from the beach. There is a single vault restroom with no running water.
Southern Pescadero Beach Access Parking Lot: Located at the intersection of Highway One and Pescadero Creek Road, the rocky beach is accessible from the northern end of the free parking lot by stairs. There are two vault restrooms and two picnic tables, but no running water and no barbecue pits.

Helping Farmers Help Fish on Pescadero Creek - Trout Unlimited
Pescadero Creek is one of the last, best wild steelhead strongholds on California’s Central Coast and is likely the best chance for recovering coho south of San Francisco. TU and conservation partners have worked for years to improve streamflows and habitat conditions in this watershed. TU’s work has focused on collaborative projects with willing agricultural landowners in the lower watershed that will improve water security for farming and boost streamflows in the dry season when steelhead need it most. The BJ Burns/Bianchi Flowers farm project illustrated here is a fine example of how this kind of partnership can benefit both fish and people.

Butano state park, Pescadero, California
Butano state park, Pescadero, California. This is a 12 mile loop with 2000 feet of elevation. Redwood trees galore. I mean some massive Redwoods. Also throw in a sandy hill on top of the mountain that was once the ocean bottom. My opinion. ????. Regardless a beautiful hike with about 50% coverage and great views of the Santa Cruz mountains. Thanks dan!

The Spectacular California Coastline - Scarab Vampire Hex-H - Part 1
One of the awesome things about living in California are the Spectacular views and scenic locations. Here is PART 1 of series of videos showing off California. Here I take the Scarab Vampire along the rocky cliffs and awesome surf along coast of Central California. Most of the footage was taken right next to the famous PCH (Pacific Coast Highway 1)
- The cliffs near Big Basin where Kite Surfers are often seen
- Davenport Beach, near the town of Davenport and the local cement factory
- The recent Kings Tide at Pleasure Point, the lowest tide of the year
- The Coast near Pescadero Marsh
- Exposed Base End Station at Devil's Slide, Pacifica
There were six military structures at the Devil's Slide: three concrete and steel observation pill-boxes, two concrete and earth bunkers, and a reinforced steel observation tower. The pill-boxes were used as hardened observation posts, and one of the bunkers was used as a communications and command post. For 30 years I always wanted to see this location, and I got my chance. It was SUPER windy, so getting close was difficult...

Did find a perfect X in the midst of the eucalyptus grooves.
Almost completely lost my footing trying to negotiate the layers of matted thicket Poison Oak, Eucalyptus tree bark and ivy as well as berry brambles, very challenging to walk through...It turns out that I was either zapped by something, or completely out of my mind. I was only disoriented for about 3-5 minutes, but it seemed longer. at 1:25 in the previous video, an anomaly at the 1:25 time stamp showed what looks like a mama Sasquatch in the shadowy distance, with her youngling. It was broken down for me by a viewer that sent me the frame by frame shots..
