Koh Phi Phi - Scuba Diving in Thailand
Koh Phi Phi Don may be known as a party island with loud bars and swarming tourists but just a few nautical miles away is beautiful and quiet Koh Phi Phi Leh within Hat Noppharat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. I first came diving here in May 2017 and returned in February 2019. In less than two years, you could see a noticeable difference in reef health and marine life which was disheartening to witness firsthand. Hopefully this video gives you a taste of the beauty of Koh Phi Phi and encourages you to do your part to preserve it. Enjoy the Flight!
Here are some things you can do to protect coral reefs and marine life:
1. Choose sustainable seafood and make smart seafood choices
2. Conserve Water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually find their ways back into the ocean.
3. Volunteer. Volunteer in local beach or reef cleanups. If you don't live near the coast, get involved in protecting your watershed.
4. Corals are already a gift. Don't give them as presents. It takes corals decades or longer to create reef structures, so leave them on the reef.
5. Reduce your carbon footprint and combat climate change. Climate change is one of the leading threats to coral reef survival.
6. If you dive, don't touch. Coral reefs are alive. Stirred-up sediment can smother corals.
7. Check sunscreen active ingredients and choose sunscreens with chemicals that don’t harm marine life.
8. Be a marine crusader. In addition to picking up your own trash, carry away the trash that others have left behind.
9. Don't send chemicals into our waterways. Nutrients from excess fertilizer increases algae growth that blocks sunlight to corals.
10. Practice safe boating. Anchor in sandy areas away from coral and sea grasses so that the anchor and chain do not drag on nearby corals

How to go to Koh Phi Phi Islands Thailand guide | walking street | ep 1
The story of 3 guys discovering Thailand, walking through Koh Phi Phi streets.
Watch the video if you want to know how to go to koh phi phi islands.
Koh Phi Phi pronounced Ko PP, welcomes you to breathtaking beaches, stunning rock formations and tranquil turquoise waters teeming with colourful marine life. A vibrant night life, rock climbing, world-class diving and just the sheer beauty of Phi Phi is enough to tickle everyone's fancy!
Phi Phi Islands are a main attraction to Krabi and Phuket Island, and are widely considered to be amongst the most beautiful islands in the world, recently rocking to fame with the filming of the movie The Beach on Maya Bay. Despite the high number of visitors here, the island is still quite stunning, and the surrounding ocean and islands are still spectacular, although Maya Bay does get abit overcrowded during Peak Season.
The main island of Phi Phi Don is the place where you will arrive when coming by ferry from Phuket, Krabi, Ao Nang, Lanta, and even Koh Lipe.
There are no roads on the island, so be prepared for a walk when you get there.
Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley are the largest, and most well known of the Phi Phi Islands. The main island of Phi Phi Don has accommodation, restaurants, dive centers, and a very vibrant nightlife! The other islands are part of the National Park and can only be seen on tours.
Places to visit: maya beach, the Koh Phi Phi view point.
Place to stay: PP Princess Resort

Scuba Diving in Phi Phi Island, Krabi Thailand 2015
The Phi Phi Islands are in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland. The islands are administratively part of Krabi province. Ko Phi Phi Don (ko meaning island in the Thai language) is the largest island of the group, and is the most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Lee (or Ko Phi Phi Leh), are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Islands are reachable by speedboats or Long-tail boats most often from Krabi Town or from various piers in Phuket Province.
Phi Phi Don was initially populated by Muslim fishermen during the late-1940s, and later became a coconut plantation. The Thai population of Phi Phi Don remains more than 80% Muslim. The actual population however, if counting laborers, especially from the northeast, is much more Buddhist these days. The population is between 2,000 to 3,000 people (2013).
The islands came to worldwide prominence when Ko Phi Phi Leh was used as a location for the 2000 British-American film The Beach. This attracted criticism, with claims that the film company had damaged the island's environment, since the producers bulldozed beach areas and planted palm trees to make it resemble description in the book,[1] an accusation the film's makers contest. An increase in tourism was attributed to the film's release, which resulted in increases in waste on the Islands, and more developments in and around the Phi Phi Don Village. Phi Phi Lee also houses the Viking Cave, where there is a thriving industry harvesting edible bird's nest.
Ko Phi Phi was devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004, when nearly all of the island's infrastructure was destroyed. As of 2010 most, but not all, of this has been restored.

Phi Phi Scuba Diving @ P.P. Aquanauts, Thailand (16/08/14)
3 of us went Scuba Diving in Phi Phi for the day (Gaby stayed at home not feeling good iirc). I wasn't very good it compared to Inchie and Amber but it was a great experience. The videos aren't the best due to not having a lens filter on the GoPro. I tried to edit them to see better.
