So here's some pictures/videos of my 2014 trek to Philmont!
Please Enjoy:)
Cimarron, New Mexico
Still Camped out at the Golden Eagle RV Park, Eagle Nest, New Mexico, thought we we spend the day at the Wild West Town of Cimarron, New Mexico, but first Zack and I had to have a smoke with my pipe sitting by the fire. Then off we go. Had a wonderful time visiting the beautiful country side, the original Santa Fe Trail, the Philmont Boy Scout Ranch and the Beautiful St.James Hotel, where unfortunately dozens of men lost there lives over card games, Woman or whatever. You can still see the Bullet Holes in the walls and ceiling. Click on the link below if you want to learn more about the history of Cimarron New Mexico.
Hope you enjoy and don't forget to Subscribe if you like what you see. Thanks for watching.

Philmont Scout Ranch
This is a video montage of my trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
Philmont Scout Ranch
Philmont Scout Ranch is a large, rugged, mountainous ranch located near the town of Cimarron, New Mexico, covering approximately 137,500 acres (556 km2) of wilderness in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico. The ranch, formerly the property of oil baron Waite Phillips and now that of the Boy Scouts of America, is a National High Adventure Base in which crews of Scouts and Venturers take part in backpacking expeditions and other outdoor activities. It is the one of the largest youth camps in the world in land area. Between June 8 and August 22 around 23,000 Scouts and adult leaders backpack across the Ranch's extensive backcountry while over 1,250 seasonal staff personnel maintain the Ranch's summer operations.
Philmont is also home to the Philmont Training Center and the Seton Museum. The Training Center is the primary location for BSA's national volunteer training programs. Philmont is also operated as a ranch, maintaining small herds of cattle, horses, burros and bison.

Dry Cimarron Trail
Formerly a designated scenic byway, it is loaded with history and scenery. The rugged path, even by automobile today, retraces a key portion of the Santa Fe Trail. And along the way it shows off some of New Mexico's beauty and mysteries.

John Madden: Philmont Scout Ranch Wildfire
John Madden has been involved in scouting for more than 60 years and his favorite place in all the places he has visited is the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. The facilities there were involved in a massive wildfire during 2018 which he talks about at the beginning of a two-hour interview.
