Walking in PHUKET TOWN / Thailand ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Going to Phuket in Thailand usually means beach time in Patong or Karong. This evening we walk in Phuket Town for a short visit away from the main tourist center. From Phuket Town it's a quick transfer to the ferry port to Phi Phi island.
We walk around Chinatown there which has many of the typical shophouses. There is even a shopping street through a block. Many stylish cafés and restaurants make up for limited tourist sights in this town.
It's a quiet atmosphere now at the end of the tourist season. We see some temple (Wat Mongkol Nimit) and also stroll through the central market enjoying a relaxed evening.

Walking Street, aka Lard Yai (big market), is on Thalang Road in Phuket Town, on the island of Phuket Thailand.
Google Maps:
Phuket Walking Street is a great place for spending a Sunday evening, with lots of locally made products and souvenirs, as well as clothing, and mountains of Thai street food and market food! There are hundreds of choices available including many popular Thai dishes, local cuisine and heaps of other Thai food. It’s a great Phuket Night Market and is definitely worth a look if you’re in Phuket Thailand on a Sunday.
Thai street food is everywhere in Thailand. It’s cheap and it is really delicious, all the food is cooked fresh as the vendors sell it, it’s some of my favourite Thai cuisine, and there is so much variety of street food in Thailand! Thai Street Food is a must to try if you’re on holidays in Thailand, and there’s loads of street food in Phuket!

Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. There are so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it for over 5 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant.
Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your Thailand holidays, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Bus from Patong to Phuket Town
How to get from Patong to Phuket Town? Take the bus from Patong to Phuket Town. It is easy and cheap. Takes about an hour, but only cost about 50 baht per person. The bus starts from Patong bus station but stops along Patong beach road to pick up passengers. If you want to go to Central Festival shopping center at Phuket you can take this bus also. Just let the conductor know that you want to get off at a specific place.

Patong Beach - Local bus from Patong Beach to Phuket Town - Phuket attractions
We are in Patong Beach which lies on the island of Phuket in Thailand. My wife and I have decided that we would like to visit Phuket Town for the day, and rather than take a taxi there we would like to try the normal public transportation services. Our bus (the Patong Beach Bus Stop) is located right down in the Southern end of Patong Beach actually almost opposite or close to the Patong Merlin Hotel.
The journey to Phuket Town from Patong Beach cost around 50 Baht and probably took alot longer than a taxi. The ride was however very pleasant and it was a good way to mingle with the local Thai people who where also heading for Phuket Town. The bus was eventually full, yet there was always space for one more person. Nice to see the younger generation offering their seats too the older people. Phuket Town is definitely one of the main must see attractions on Phuket Island. Wherever you are living we highly recommend that you try getting there by local bus.
Our footage starts on Patong Beach Road. Watch out for Tuk Tuks, Bangla Boxing Stadium announcements, the Patong beachfront, Jet skis, the Patong Merlin Hotel, McDonalds, Burger King...

Phuket Town Day Tour With Scooter | Phuket Thailand Tour vlog
Phuket is one of the biggest islands in Thailand. Phuket old town is the hearth of this island. Being based in Phuket it is very easy to explore the surroundings of the Phuket island on the Andaman Sea. It is very easy to rent a boat or go on organised tours in to Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island or any other island from in the Phang Nga Bay Thailand. Phuket is very popular tourist destination, being easily connected to the rest of the world via its international airport.
Renting a scooter in Phuket is one if the best things to do as you have the freedom and time to explore more. Driving a scooter in Thailand is very cheap and is one of the best options to move around once you settled in a place.
This video vlogs one day tour around Phuket Old Town area. You can get a good idea on what you can see and do in a day in Phuket, Thailand. The main attraction points highlighted here are:
1. The Monkey Hill Phuket - very close to Phuket Town, this attraction provides splendid views over one side of the Phuket Town, and gives you the chance to see the monkeys; there are plenty of monkeys here and some local fruit juices and drunks that you can have on the way.
2. Khao Rang View Point is a very quiet and peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the splendid views over the Phuket Town.
3. Karon View Point is one of the busiest view points in Phuket Island just because it offers views over the three most famous beaches in Phuket and the Andaman Sea. Here you can see a beautiful sunset over the Phuket island.
4. Big Buddha is highlight of the Phuket island. The journey to Big Buddha can be very pleasant as you can stop to feed the elephants or enjoy some green fresh coconuts. Big Buddha offers amazing views over Phuket Town and inspires you with the grand marble statue of Buddha.
Riding a scooter will allow you to easily see all these attractions and in the same time you could squeeze in an hour or two of beach time on the west coast of Phuket Island.

Grocery Shopping in Thailand at Big C - We're in Phuket Town!
A last minute checkout from Koh Lanta, a ferry ride across the Andaman Sea and we have arrived in Phuket, Thailand!
Lucky for us our condo front desk in Phuket also had scooter rentals so we were sure to get one early on as it makes getting around in the heat so much easier and we are located pretty far away from the main attractions. First things first with the scooter we take it to the local mall near us as our hub. It wasn't without a little excitement though as the roads are much busier and multi laned compared to driving in Koh Lanta. When we got our scooter it also had right on empty gas so we wanted to stop at the first station we saw on the way to the mall. We ended up taking a lane that turned into an underground tunnel to skip some of the bigger intersections, zooming a long with freeway traffic worrying if our gas would hold out. Luckily it did however so after a quick fill up, and a spot to find a u-turn we were heading back to the mall and made it! It was a pretty decent mall, must admit the food court was probably the best part though haha.
The next day we also took our scooter to a Big C supermarket. We had shopped at mini Big C's before as convenience stores but never been to this kind of one. It was huge, like a mega Walmart. We explored the food half and Alysha picked out a bunch of groceries to take advantage of our kitchenette and make some delicious home cooked meals. The next day we went back to explore the rest of the supermarket. Before you even enter the main area there are all sorts of other stores inside the Big C, and even franchises like KFC. That place had it all.
We also went to one of the night markets in our area one night. It was a busy weekend market with rows upon rows of vendors selling the usual merch on one end and then rows and rows of food vendors on the other end. The area was all closed in so it got super hot in there with all the cooking, humidity and just being packed with people so we explored it for a while then decided we'd come back another time earlier before peak hours to actually get some shopping in and beat the rush.
In the next video we check out Phuket's Old City Sunday night market as we can catch the regular weekend one next week easier. The market was in the middle of one of the main downtown streets in the old City. It is super popular and was a fun little walk around, we even left the scooter at home for a change. Then the next day we visit Phuket's Monkey Hill and watch some wild monkeys play and get a little hike in too before a movie date night.
Thanks for tuning in everyone and we'll catch you Saturday! ???? If you enjoyed the video be sure to show your support and hit that like button and subscribe if you aren't, it means a lot to us!
Cheers friends,

Free Things To Do In Phuket Town - Crazy Night Market & Monkeys
Off to Phuket's Old City night market and the next day Phuket's Monkey Hill we go! The Thailand travel vlogs continue full steam 2x a week!
We got a taste of the night markets here the previous night, and had intended to go back the next day just a little earlier to beat the crowds and get some shopping done. However while hanging out at the pool we got to talking with a fellow Canadian lady and she made a good point we should go check out the Old City's Sunday Night Market, the popular one in Phuket.
So we got ready and later that evening we were off to the old City! We left the scooter at home as it was only about a 15 minute walk from our place and we just wanted to explore the old City area on foot and not deal with the parking and having to return for our scooter, which worked out well. The market itself was in the middle of one of the main downtown streets (closed off of course) and then sprawled out from there on to other side streets and storefronts a long the way. It was nice to be out under the beautiful night sky and have the fresh air around you atleast as opposed to the more stuffy previous market we had visited. It was a bit more touristy and probably slightly higher priced than the previous market but would definitely recommend visiting it still if you're in the area. Great varieties of food, fun live music spots and being in around old City after sundown with the roads shutdown is a fun way to check it out.
The next day we put the scooter to use and visited Monkey Hill near Old City Phuket. It was a fun short drive through traffic and a fun stop that gets a fair amount of tourists. I would personally recommend a scooter or perhaps renting a cheap motorcycle taxi as you can take it 80% of the way up, to where the monkeys start and then you'll have a little extra energy to enjoy the monkeys and walk the short remainder to the top. We got some nice views of Phuket and the surrounding area, and the monkeys were hilarious as they always are. They are wild monkeys but there are also people who supervise them and look out for tourists and break up any disturbances going on (the best they can, so please follow the rules or it's a risk for you, and teaches them bad behavior for future visitors too). We read online atleast that these monkeys have been known the carry rabies so all the more reason to stay a safe distance and not try and pet, feed, or impose yourself on then. We walked up from the parking spot and you get a few more viewpoints. There is also some sort of electrical or telecommunication station up top with a spooky old facility there we check out too.
After Monkey Hill we grab a bite to eat at the Phuket Central Festival Mall and then we had a movie night in the SFX theater in there. We didn't get any good footage really (sorry) there but it was a nice theater and we prebooked a love seat chair at the back. I believe it was $20cad for 2 for admission and the back better chair. We also got paprika popcorn which we learned in Thailand is a DELICIOUS idea and should be a thing in North America.
Hope you guys liked seeing some monkeys and the old City area! Be sure to give the video a like if you did and show your support. Next video it's off to Patong Beach and a snorkelling day tour trip to Coral Island and around. It'll be our LAST video in Thailand!???????? Crazy..
So stay tuned and see you next episode friends!

Phi Phi Islands Day Tour in Phuket Thailand (2020)
Welcome to my video! I had so much fun making it and hope you guys enjoy it. If you did, please subscribe and give it a thumbs up.
On this full day tour of Phi Phi Islands, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. Feed you to a lunch buffet and take you back home.
I’ve been to Thailand 3 consecutive years in a row and it remains one of my favorite places. These islands are definitely worth visiting.
Enjoy!
The Phi Phi Islands (Thai: หมู่เกาะพีพี, RTGS: mu ko phiphi, pronounced [mùː kɔ̀ʔ pʰīː.pʰīː]) are an island group in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the Straits of Malacca coast of Thailand. The islands are administratively part of Krabi Province. Ko Phi Phi Don (Thai: เกาะพีพีดอน; RTGS: ko phiphi don) (ko Thai: เกาะ 'island') is the largest and most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Le (Thai: เกาะพีพีเล; RTGS: ko phiphi le) are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Nai, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The islands are reachable by speedboats or long-tail boats most often from Krabi town or from piers in Phuket Province.
Phi Phi Don was initially populated by Muslim fishermen during the late-1940s, and later became a coconut plantation. The resident Thai population of Phi Phi Don remains more than 80 percent Muslim. The actual population however—if counting transient workers—is more Buddhist than Muslim. The resident population is between 2,000 and 3,000 people (2013).[citation needed]
The islands came to worldwide prominence when Ko Phi Phi Le was used as a location for the 2000 British-American film The Beach. This attracted criticism, with claims that the film company had damaged the island's environment, as the producers bulldozed beach areas and planted palm trees to make it more resemble descriptions in the book,[1] an accusation the film's makers contest. An increase in tourism was attributed to the film's release, which resulted in increased environmental degradation. Phi Phi Le is home to the Viking Cave, where there is a thriving industry harvesting edible bird's nests.
Ko Phi Phi was devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami of December 2004, when nearly all of the island's infrastructure was destroyed.
