How To Get A Private Tour of James Bond Island | Kathryn Tamblyn | Thailand Vlog
Come along on the best tour of James Bond Island, from The Man with the Golden Gun.
This was one of my all-time favorite days in Thailand. Tom and I woke up at 3:45am to catch our longtail boat from Phuket to Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island. We had the entire island to ourselves! Of course, we pretended we were James Bond and Mary Goodnight. Afterward, we visited the magical floating village of Koh Panyee and our last stop of the day was at Wat Suwan Kuha aka, The Monkey Temple.
Hope you enjoy the vlog!

We were anxiously looking forward to visit this island where some shots of James Bond movie “The Man with the Golden Gun” were filmed.
The day long tour to this island was a part of our one week Phuket itinerary. We were picked by 7:30 from our Seaview hotel at Patong Beach in a minibus then on our way we picked couple of more tourists. Stopped for about 15 minutes at a temple or monkey caves en route to the national park.
This day it was drizzling since morning. A day before we had a full day trip to Phi Phi Island when the sun was shining all the day, the weather was hot and humid and today it was rather more enjoyable as it was drizzling throughout the day.
We first visited Talu Island by Long Tail speedboat. Water was splashing all over and it was raining we got drenched in spite of our raincoats which was not an issue rather it was enjoyable. The main attraction at Talu Island is the canoeing thru low level sea caves. Each canoe can accommodate two persons with the canoe guide. Since we are a family of 6 we took 3 canoes and the guides were quite friendly and provided us interesting facts about the area and their livings. They patiently waited and allowed us ample time for clicking pictures and making videos. They pointed out few figures and shapes resembling buffaloes head, women, etc formed by the rocks which we often find such imaginary figures in the clouds as well. A couple of sea caves were so narrow that we had to lay down flat in the canoe protecting ourselves from hitting the sharp cave edges. It’s quite save as the canoe moves slowly through such narrow caves. It’s a great experience.
Then we headed in a speedboat to James Bond Island where we spent about an hour. It’s a small island having many souvenir shops with toilet facilities. Lovely place for capturing mind-blowing pictures. Seeing is believing!!! Watch the highlights presented in the video.
We then proceeded to Koh Panyee Village restaurant for lunch which is built on stilts by fishermen in Phang Nga Bay. We had a delicious lunch and had sufficient time to enjoy the rain and scenic surrounding natural beauty while clicking pictures of each and every corner of the place.
It was another great day that got engraved as golden memories to be relished and enjoyed for years to come. We definitely recommend to all those visiting Phuket to spend a day for this tour you will not regret.

Phuket in Thailand: Discover Phang Nga Bay and Patong Beach
Florence and Julien from Travel Tura are pleased to present to you the main places where you should go during your travel in Phuket.
If you are thinking of travelling to Phuket, check out our hotels here:
Phuket’s island is one of the largest isle of Thailand, located on the west coast of the country. The climate of the island is tropical, because of typhoons and tropical storms, and it’s also warm throughout the year.
The best time to visit Phuket is from December through March when it’s not so humid due to typhoons and tropical storms. Phuket is one of the most beautiful destinations to visit, and there are many things to see.
Here are some examples: for the nature lovers you can enjoy unbelievable views like “Phang Nga Bay”, located north east of Phuket, where you can see some magnificent lagoons, or “Prompthep Cape Viewpoint” which is famous for its view, especially in the evening at sunset time.
Finally, you can also see the most imposing sculpture which is “Big Buddha” with a height of 45 metres.

4-Day Trip to Phuket, Thailand (Domz Adique)
August 21-24, 2015 - I spent my first four days vacation in Phuket (known as The Jewel Mountain), the second smallest province of Thailand. I arrived around 9:40am in Phuket International Airport and travelled 40km by shuttle bus (which only cost me THB180.00) to Jungceylon Mall, where I had to spend the time to eat lunch and go strolling around before I was able to check-in in De Coze Hotel at 2:00pm.
After many hours spent inside the airplanes (9 hours Doha, Qatar to Manila, Philippines, 4 hours Manila, Philippines to Singapore, Singapore and 2 hours from Singapore, Singapore to Phuket, Thailand), I checked-in my hotel to have a nice warm shower and sleep, before going out to experience the night in Phuket.
On the next day, I had a terrific breakfast buffet in De Coze Hotel before Mr. Wan, my tour guide for the jungle safari tour, came to fetch me in the hotel at 7:30am.
We spent most of our time road tripping around Phuket and Phang-Nga as our destinations were scattered around. So I was really satisfied for the value of my money that I paid for this tour.
Our destinations in order were in Monkey Cave, then to the 60min elephant trekking towards having our buffet lunch in the Bungalow (where I had to spent the night in with my newly friends, Jonas and Lucas from Germany), then afternoon canoe by the river (the last activity of the day), dinner at Bungalow, and finally the evening rest.
On the next day, as early as 6:30am, we had our buffet breakfast, and at 7:00am we made our way by pick-up truck to Khao Sok Nature Park for a 5km trekking and swim in Bang Hua Rat (meaning, Rolling Stones) Waterfalls. After the overall 10km hike, we went back to the Bungalow to have our 500m Flying Fox (zipline) experience. And finally, eating our lunch before dropping us back to our respective hotels.
On my final day, I spent my morning in De Coze Hotel enjoying the complete buffet breakfast, the swimming pool, and the time in my balcony before my ATV Tour Guide picked me up at 12:00nn, just in time for my check-out from the hotel.
Another long road trip to the Big Buddha Temple, where I was dropped by below the uphill to actually drive myself an ATV to the Big Buddha Shrine. Upon returning down, I had another elephant-back riding experience. This time, all by myself.
After the whole tour, the shuttle bus dropped me in Jungceylon Mall where I spent the time buying souvenirs and watching a movie (Fantastic Four 2015) to pass the time before finally going back to Phuket International Airport for my 11:40pm departure to Manila, Philippines.

Honeymoon in Southeast Asia: PHUKET THAILAND (2nd Stop)
Second stop: Phuket, Thailand
Hotel: Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa. We were here for 4 nights total. The resort was about 45min away from the airport. It has a massive pool, an included breakfast, tons of Instagram-worthy spots, and an award-winning spa (highly recommend the 2-hour couples massage ~2500baht/person). Although the resort grounds are amazing, the room itself was average. The bathroom and shower areas had a funky smell and the overall upkeep of the place just wasn't there.
Flight: Scoot Airlines (NOT recommended) - check-in took 40min because their computer systems went down.
Attractions covered: Phi Phi Island Day Tour, Phang Nga Bay Day Tour, Patong Beach
Recommendations:
1. Get a SIM card at the airport.
2. Use the GRAB app to get around
3. Visit the Phi Phi Islands for white sands and snorkelling in clear water.
4. Visit Phang Nga Bay for canoeing and seeing James Bond Island.
5. Night out in Patong should be a must. It's a street where you can enjoy live music, a club/lounge, or a interesting show (Rated R). 600 Baht/person for unlimited alcohol and entry.
6. Please use Mosquito Repellent cream! Shivani forgot to apply it one day and got malaria!
