10. Pumkin Key, Key Largo ($100 million)
The first mansion on the countdown was put on sale in 2014 for 100 million dollars- and it only has three bedrooms! Of course, the fact it includes your very own private island in the Florida Keys has a lot to do with the price, and the added facilities make it perfect for the discerning millionaire to live in peace and comfort. It is less than 50 minutes by boat away from Miami and, with a private marina that can hold up to 20 boats, you and your friends would be able to party in style.
On the 26 acre island there is a large swimming pool, two cottages for the staff to live in, an apartment for your boat captain to stay, a huge private beach and tennis courts which can be used as a helipad for even quicker transport to the mainland.
With planning permission for further development you could turn this island into your ideal paradise, and with membership to the exclusive Ocean Reef community you’ll be able to mingle with like-minded people in style without any interruptions from poor people.
9. Playboy Mansion ($100 million)
The playboy mansion is arguably the most famous mansion in the world and, in 2016, it was sold to the person who lives next door for 100 million dollars. Before you think this was the act of a weary neighbor trying to limit the noise and commotion that goes on at the place, this sale came with one unique stipulation- that Hugh Hefner was allowed to continue living there for the rest of his life.
The six acre property has 29 rooms, which include a well stocked wine cellar, a games room, Hefner’s mysterious bedroom that under the terms cannot be altered until he passes, tennis courts, a basketball court, and the famous waterfall and swimming pool area. It’s also the place from where the Playboy magazine is run, with a whole wing dedicated to its production. Hefner didn’t want to sell this eponymous home, but because of the strains the Playboy empire has been facing, they had no choice in an effort to raise funds. But if he can sell up, and still be allowed to live in his dream mansion, then he can hardly complain!8. Palazo Di Amore ($129 million)
No list of expensive mansions would be complete without an entry from Beverly Hills- and the Palazo Di Amore, which was once held the record for being the most expensive home to be listed in America when it was put on the market for just under 200 million dollars, is a beautiful example of extravagant design. It didn’t sell for the original asking price, so is now available for the bargain price of only 129 million dollars, but for that you will definitely get something unique.
Built within 25 acres that look over Los Angeles, there is a 35,000 square foot main house with a separate guest-house and a 15,000 square foot entertainment center which has a revolving dance floor! The full site took almost eight years to complete and features a stunning waterfall, a number of vineyards, 12 bedrooms, 23 bathrooms, marbled floors and stunning decoration in every direction.
If you like your wine, then the separate cellar will have you covered with a world class collection of over 3,000 bottles, with the vineyard itself producing 4 or 500 cases of wine per year as well.
This mansion really has everything you would need for a luxurious life, perfect place to entertain guests, and all within a short drive to LA.
7. Il Palmetto, Palm Beach ($137 million)
Set in 5 and a half acres of glorious surroundings in palm beach, Florida, Il Palmetto was originally built in 1930. After going through a series of renovations since then, the original look and feel has been maintained but it comes with all the modern facilities that you would expect.
From the two story entrance hall, master bedroom suite, 3 guest bedrooms, and 20,000 bottle carved limestone wine cellar, this mansion is designed to entertain. The main living room has shield-decorated ceilings and wonderful views across Lake Worth, there’s also a large swimming pool, second wine cellar, a beach house and a 2 bedroom boat house.
Access is also easy, with its own underground tunnel network and 2 elevators in the main house- and with a family room, theater, billiards room, library, office and a pavilion surrounding a courtyard with a fountain, this place has everything you could ever need.

SOTT Earth Changes Summary - April 2018: Extreme Weather, Planetary Upheaval, Meteor Fireballs
SOTT Earth Changes Summary - April 2018: Extreme Weather
This past April saw record snow for the North, Northeast and the Midwest of the US, together with strong winds and snow-melt flooding, leaving hundreds of thousands without light and damaging homes. Some parts of Europe and Northern Asia also had their share of unseasonable snow and frigid temperatures... yes, all this in April, with spring supposedly well under way.
Sheets of rain, floods and huge hail stones caused serious problems this April with the Middle East, Kenya, South Africa, Central America and the South of the US all suffering the consequences.
While many sinkholes still made their appearance around the world, huge cracks in the earth also opened up, alarming many people. Some researchers attribute such cracks to the liquefaction of earth layers below the surface due to heavy rains and floods, but there is also the the slow down in the speed of earth's rotation and cosmic rays to consider when assessing this upsurge in geological activity ... the earth's crust appears to be 'opening up'.
Volcanic activity in the ring of fire also remained high this April, and there is no sign that it will decrease in intensity.
It should always be remembered that the kind of destructive weather patterns we are seeing around the world has a significant damaging effect on crops and livestock, with knock-on effects for the global economy that are yet to manifest.

NASA | Vital Signs: Taking the Pulse of Our Planet
Our planet is a beautiful and awesome place. In a new video, join NASA scientists on a 40-minute visual tour of Earth from space, presented at the IMAX Theater at National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. on September 10.
“Vital Signs: Taking the Pulse of Our Planet was the theme for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center's fifteenth installment of its annual lecture and reception sponsored by the Maryland Space Business Roundtable.
Earth is a complex, dynamic system we do not yet fully understand. Like the human body, the Earth system comprises diverse components that interact in complex ways.
On this global tour, scientists lead the viewer through Earth’s water cycle, forests and frozen regions as seen through the eyes of NASA’s Earth observing satellite fleet. They share a story of how we can make life better today and into the future.
NASA's Earth science program aims to develop a greater understanding of Earth's system and its response to natural or human-induced changes, and to improve predictions of climate, weather and natural disasters.
The lecture is given by:
