Coverage commenced in August 2014 just before mobilization to start construction. Turbine components (blades, nacelles and tower segments) arrived last quarter of 2014 at the Manila ports.These components were transferred to Pililla via the busy streets of Manila and the winding roads up the mountains of Rizal. Significant stages of the construction were covered: from Foundation Preparation up to Tower Erection.

Hundreds of thousand still shots taken using CANON 5D Mark3 with various Canon lenses. Canon C100 used for all videos. Radio controlled hexacopter drone camera for all aerial footage.

Windmill Farm in Pililia Rizal // One of the Largest Windmill Farm in the Philippines

This wind farm is located in Barangay Halayhayin in Pililla, Rizal. It is the first Luzon-based wind farm outside Ilocos Norte.

There are 27 wind turbines in this wind farm. Each windmill can generate 2 megawatts of power, producing 54 megawatts of energy in all.

An average home in Manila can consume around 200-300 kilowatt per hour monthly. Thus, the Pililla Wind Farm can provide adequate electricity to almost 66,000 households.

The position of the wind turbines is oriented to capture Amihan winds from October to March.

Travel time at Pililla Wind Farm in Tanay

PILILLA WIND FARM | JARIEL'S PEAK | AEROX OFF-ROAD | MOTOVLOG

This was my second ride with my YAMAHA AEROX.
We rode from VALENZUELA CITY to PILILIA WIND FARM (Pililia, Rizal) to JARIEL'S PEAK (Infanta, Quezon) then back to VALENZUELA CITY (272 kilometers total).

Pinoy Joyride - Pililia Rizal Wind Farm (Altenergy's Windfarm) 2nd Joyride

The last time i went here the security personnel did not allow people to move inside the premises of the windfarm but this time we have the chance to roam inside. Sun was already setting and we have limited time but the views were really stunning. The weather was perfect, chilly and windy and be ready with your hand camera to take pictures and selfies. This was a private property.

About the Rizal Windmill -
The Pililla, Rizal Wind Energy Service Contract granted to Alternergy Philippine Holdings Corporation (APHC) covers an area of 4,515 hectares[1] under Department of Energy WESC NO. 2009-09-018. This Wind Energy Service Contract (WESC) has two phases, Pililla Wind Power Project under WESC NO. 2009-09-018-AF1 and the Mt. Sembrano Wind Power Project under WESC NO. 2009-09-018-AP2.[2]

In December 2008, Alternergy Philippine Holdings Corporation (APHC) was awarded by the Department of Energy (DOE) the exclusive right to develop wind power projects in 3 locations: Pililla in Rizal, Abra de Ilog in Occidental Mindoro, and Kalayaan, Laguna. These locations were among those identified under the Philippine Wind Atlas as potential sites for wind farms due to good to excellent wind resources. APHC was subsequently awarded additional wind energy service contracts in 3 other locations in 2009. APHC is committed to implement the wind projects if the wind measurements and site specific studies demonstrate that the power plants are commercially viable.[3] - wikipedia

From the previous video, more turbines are functioning, according to the security guard, around 27 wind turbines. They even told me to check the Bugarin area. Next time will be checking that area.

No need to go to Ilocos Norte just to see and have a picture with the background of windmills. You can see these windmills in Pilalli Rizal as well.

WINDMILL FARM in Pililla Rizal | MummaDunna And Kids

Located in the humble barangay of Halayhayin in Pililla, to be more precise, the Rizal Wind Farm is the newest addition to the growing list of tourism hotspots within close proximity of the capital, just two hours away. According to Alternergy Wind One Corp, the company that leads the operations of the farm, Pililla is an ideal setting for a wind farm because “it is part of a natural wind corridor created by the unique geographical features surrounding the lake.”

A lane of 27 wind turbines stand atop sloping hills at 300 meters above sea level, towering over Laguna de Bay and standing along the NW-SE line to capture the Amihan from October to March, whose speeds can reach 36km/hour. Each turbine can produce 2MW. The entire farm is estimated to be able to generate almost 150 Gigawatt hours of electricity every year

Phase 1 of this project is a wind farm in Barangay Halayhayin in Pililla, Rizal, Philippines. The wind farm is being undertaken by Alternergy Wind One Corporation. The total cost for the construction of the wind farm is US$177.9 million.

The project consists of 27 wind turbine generators grouped into three clusters with aggregate capacity of 54 megawatts (MW). The said project, after completion will interconnect to Meralco’s Malaya-Teresa 115 kilovolts (kV) transmission line located just 10 kilometers from the project site.
