China 360 - Shanghai - Old Town - VR tourism
This is a 360 video so you can look around with your mouse or mobile phone ;)
The Old City of Shanghai is the traditional urban core of Shanghai. Its boundary was formerly defined by a defensive wall. The Old City was the county seat for the old county of Shanghai. With the advent of foreign concessions in Shanghai, the Old City became just one part of Shanghai's urban core but continued for decades to be the seat of the Chinese authority in Shanghai. Notable features include the City God Temple which is located in the center of the Old City and is connected to the Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese Ming-style private garden, originally built in 1559 but ransacked and restored several times since then.
We will keep posting videos from all over the world.

Visit of The Precariously Hanging Monastery of Mount Heng
Hengshan, or Mount Heng, which is located in Shanxi province, is one of China’s Five Great Mountains. Pinned to the side of its cliff face is the Xuan Kong Si, also known as the Hanging Monastery. Despite its precarious position, the monastery has been ‘hanging’ in its original position for more than 1,500 years, a testament to the ingenuity of its builders.
The Hanging Monastery is said to have been built in 491 AD, during the late Northern Wei Dynasty. It is commonly believed that the building of the monastery was initiated by a single individual, a monk by the name of Liao Ran. In time, however, Liao Ran received help from Taoist builders, who were drawn to the site due to its peaceful and serene atmosphere. The site was perfect for those engaged in meditation, as noises from the ground did not reach such lofty heights. In addition, its height ensured that the monastery was safe from floods. The Hanging Monastery is also protected from rain, snow and sun as it is sheltered by the mountain’s peak. This is one of the reasons for the monastery’s continual existence over the centuries.
Yungang Grottoes
Yungang Grottoes, one of the three major cave clusters in China, punctuate the north cliff of Wuzhou Mountain, Datong. The area was excavated along the mountain, extending 1 km (0.62 miles) from east to west, revealing 53 caves and over 51,000 stone statues. The grottoes are divided into east, middle, and west parts. Pagodas dominate the eastern parts; west caves are small and mid-sized with niches. Caves in the middle are made up of front and back chambers with Buddha statues in the center. Embossing covers walls and ceilings.Started in 450, the grottoes is a relic of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534). Absorbing Indian Gandhara Buddhist art, the sculptures here developed traditional Chinese art melded with social features of the time.During the reign of Emperor Xiao Wen a monk named Tanyao took charge of the construction of Yungang Grottoes. The largest cave is No.6, which is 20 meters (65.6 foot) high, standing a 15-meter (49.2-foot)-high pagoda-like column decorated with Buddha statues and designs. On the four sides of the tower pillar, and on the east, south and west walls of the cave, 33 embossed panels depict the story of Saykamuni.
We were so fortunate to have 5 Vietnamese girls in our team in Shanxi tour program. They became our sisters and we all took care each other with great harmony and had lots of fun under the guardianship of Yang Zong La.
China : A Lone Grave Blocks Giant Development !!
This video has no sound track.
A lone grave is blocking a building project in the city of Taiyuan in northern China.
The ancestral tomb - 10m high (33ft) and covering a surface area of 10 square metres (33ft) - is bang in the middle of a construction site.
Developers had offered money to relatives of those whose loved ones lie buried there but one family from the city in China's Shanxi province refused to take the money - rumoured to be around £94,000 - and agree to their ancestors' bones being reburied.
Instead, the family is holding out until an auspicious date for a reburial.
The grave is believed to have been in place since 2004.
Meanwhile, building is continuing around the grave as developers try to find a way of settling the matter.
The building is scheduled to be completed by April 2013.
The standoff is the latest in a series of confrontations between individuals and private developers.
A farming couple last month refused to move from their flat inside a five-storey building, preventing its demolition.

China: Um solitário Sepultura Desenvolvimento gigante Blocos
They later accepted compensation and the building was pulled down.
