Astronomy Day at the Royal Observatory of Belgium on 21 September 2019
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), the Royal Observatory of Belgium opened its doors on September 21 for an Astronomy Day, organised by the Planetarium of Brussels, in collaboration with the FFAAB (Fédération Francophone des Astronomes Amateurs de Belgique) and the VVS (Vereniging Voor Sterrenkunde).
The program included activities for young and old: visits to the telescopes of the Observatory, observation sessions of the Sun during the day and of the stars at night, thematic conferences, visits to the stands of amateur astronomy clubs... There were also numerous activities for children.

Het Willemsfonds Laken organiseert op 28 september 2017 een geleid bezoek in het Brussels Planetarium. Tim Trachet, mede-oprichter van SKEPP, de Studiekring voor de Kritische Evaluatie van Pseudo-wetenschap en het Paranormale, viel de eer te beurt om een planetoïde naar zijn naam genoemd te zien. Planetoïde 7013 Trachet.
Le Willemsfonds Laken organise le 28 Septembre 2017 une visite guidée au Planetarium de Bruxelles. Cette visite reposera entre les mains expertes de Tim Trachet, co-fondateur du groupe SKEPP, groupe d'étude pour l'évaluation critique de la pseudo-science et du paranormal. Il a prêté son nom au planétoide 7013 Trachet.
