Rental home stay in Port Charlotte
We had a building lot in Florida for many years through Port Charlotte Homebuilders of Burlington Canada. We never built, as their deal was one of the most expensive in the business. But we did rent one of their 2 bedroom homes for a week in 1991 - the same one the Gulf War started! It was memorable & educational...if every lot was developed in Florida, the state would sink!!

The Best Part of Florida? (Charlotte Harbor)
Have you ever been to Florida? What do you think is the best part of the state?
Having spent the last 2 days in the South Western regions of Charlotte Harbor, Punta Gorda and Englewood -- this place takes my vote for the best!! Life is AMAZING here!! We've visited the greenest of national parks, went kayaking with dolphins through the red mangroves, hung out on the most stunning white sanded beaches, and seen alligators, panthers, birds and iguanas enjoying the perfect weather.
It's my first time in Florida since 2007, so it's great to be back with fresh eyes and new perspectives. All I know for sure is that the tropical natural beauty of this state is unparalleled to the rest of the country.

The neighborhood of South Beach, comprising the southernmost 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) of Miami Beach, along with downtown Miami and the Port of Miami, collectively form the commercial center of South Florida. Miami Beach's estimated population is 92,307 according to the most recent United States census estimates. Miami Beach is the 26th largest city in Florida based on official 2017 estimates from the US Census Bureau. It has been one of America's pre-eminent beach resorts since the early 20th century.
In 1979, Miami Beach's Art Deco Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco District is the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world and comprises hundreds of hotels, apartments and other structures erected between 1923 and 1943. Mediterranean, Streamline Moderne and Art Deco are all represented in the District. The Historic District is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the East, Lenox Court on the West, 6th Street on the South and Dade Boulevard along the Collins Canal to the North. The movement to preserve the Art Deco District's architectural heritage was led by former interior designer Barbara Baer Capitman, who now has a street in the District named in her honor.
Hurricane Charley - Port Charlotte, FL - August 13, 2004
Hurricane Charley strengthened rapidly just before striking the southwestern coast of Florida, over Charlotte Harbor, as a Category Four hurricane. Although extremely small in size, Charley produced sustained winds of 150mph and gusts to near 175mph, causing catastrophic wind damage in the communities of Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda, FL. The Charlotte County Medical Center recorded an unofficial gust of 150kts (173mph) and the Charlotte County Airport recorded 139kts (160mph). Charley's minimum central pressure at landfall was 942mb (27.82in) and I recorded 950mb (28.05in) at my location near Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Veteran storm chaser Andy Dressler accompanied me on this chase.

La Casa Mobile Home Park is a very well managed, gated community for persons 55 years and older.
We are a Resident Owned Community. Why would that fact be to your advantage? If you buy a home in a community owned or primarily managed by an outside owner or company, you can be at their mercy when it comes to ongoing maintenance fees. Even worse are possible assessments they deem necessary for unexpected repairs or just bad management. A resident-owned community is precisely that — a community-owned by the residents within and managed by them. Their Home-Owners Association (HOA) is residents, not outside parties, although in Florida they are still under the oversight of state government. Residents vote on significant issues affecting their park, and they also choose their own Board from residents during scheduled elections.
This home is being offered for sale through La Casa Real-estate and can be seen by appointment 941-429-9300
