Macau Zhuhai Gongbei Border Port Underground Shopping Mall
Here is a brief tour of the underground mall in Zhuhai China. It is the first thing you see once you cross the Gongbei Port Border leaving Macau and entering China. There are many food stalls, clothing, electronics and various other things being sold.
This mall used to be 2 levels deep, but the lower level has now been sectioned off and is not open to the public. There used to be fake/bootleg foods sold here in the lower level but those aren't available anymore.
If you need to exchange money, this is the best place to do it. But I only recommend changing the following 3 currencies: Hong Kong Dollars ( HKD ), Chinese Yuan ( RMB ) and Macau Patacas ( MOP ). The rates here overall are better than the money exchange businesses found in Macau. I don't recommend exchanging any other currencies because the rates they may offer are horrible mainly because they don't deal with many other currencies other than the 3 I mentioned. I once tried to exchange US dollars but the rate was 6 HKD to 1 USD which is close to a 25% Margin !

Cheap Shopping and Cheap Eats in Zhuhai China
In this video I go to the Zhuhai Port Plaza which is a massive underground shopping centre right beside the border crossing between Mainland China and Macau. In this this huge underground mall there are hundreds of small shops selling everything from clothes, shoes, handbags, watches, and even electronics for super cheap prices. On top of the excellent shopping there are seeming endless food options also for dirt cheap prices. Follow me as I do a little shopping and eat some awesome food at this huge tourist hotspot here in Zhuhai.

Be amaze in a maze like shopping heaven of Port Plaza in Gongbei port in Zhuhai. A Large underground market in southern part of China. A crazy place pack with people, food stalls, money exchange, phone cards and accessories, real estate, etc. you could almost find anything here. From Macau to port plaza in 20 mins to 1 hour and experience the never ending shopping.

Throughout China the phenomenon of underground malls is very prevalent. Although I'm not certain of the reasons, I imagine it is because the cities are so crowded and there is a lack of space.

換錢黨非法活動沉伏在拱北口岸地下商場多年、其中不少國内及澳門旅客中招。而去年五月、數間店舖最終受到有關執法部門整頓而關閉停業數周、多人被帶走問話。
筆者以往多次亦曾在該商場換錢、幸好末曾中伏過。相信該事件在執法人員决心打擊之下、給予旅客一個信心的保障。
雖說換錢黨事件曾造成拱北口岸地下商場某程度上的頁面影響、但作為全珠海三大商城之一的它 (設有50多間食店、百多間商舖)、仍是眾多過關旅客的聚腳點。
商場設有多個出口、其中的一個可通往蓮花路步行街 (附近有L HOTEL等多間宜價酒店)、吃喝玩樂真方便。
