Shangri-la Day 2 - Potatso National Park, Wild Yak, and Highland Lakes.
On our second day, we hired a private driver and headed to the Potatso (Pudacuo) National Park. It is China's first national park and has a huge biodiversity in this biologically unique part of China.
In the park, we saw wild yak, my first every wild chipmunk experience (not on camera), wild horse, and a bunch of jumping fish. There was also a wide range of fauna and flora, by Chinese standards, which made walking around here a refreshing change to Kunming city life.
I'm still getting used to using the video stabiliser and I realise that I am panning it a little quickly in places. Also the editing software seems to have made the video pan a little jerkily - something I will try to resolve for the next video. Also, I didn't realise until it was too late how many times I called it Potato National Park. This was my way of remembering the name, but I didn't mean to include it so often in the videos!

Potatso National Park is located in the centre of Three Parallel Rivers world natural heritage area, belonging to northwest of Yunnan Province,China. It is made up of the wetlands of international importance Bita Lake Nature Reserve and the Three Parallel Rivers world natural heritage Redhill Area’s Shudu Lake. The Flying Tigers of Shangri-La
Once wound up, the inimitable Dr. Ho proved an inexhaustible fount of information, on the Flying Tigers, on Shangri-La and on the redoubtable Dr. Rock. In the summer of 1938 Claire Lee Chennault went to Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in Western China, to forge, at the request of Madame Chiang, a new Chinese Air Force from an American mould. The American Volunteer Group (AVG), famously nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was composed of pilots from the United States Army (USAAF), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under presidential authority and commanded by Chennault. The ground crew and headquarters staff were likewise mostly recruited from the U.S. military, along with some civilians. Kunming was close enough to Dr. Ho's childhood home in Lijiang for the Flying Tigers to warrant inclusion in the good doctor's assorted memorabilia. Although the expeditions of Dr. Ho's mentor, Dr. Joseph E Rock, had their base in Lijiang, Yunnan, his explorations covered a vast area where the Indian sub-continental plate collided with the Asian plate and the Tibetan plateau sloped toward the Sichuan basin. His reports published in National Geographic magazine undoubtedly inspired James Hilton's book 'Lost Horizon' which gave the world its iconic image of Shangri La. Dr. Ho embraced all of these diverse strands of Yunnan history as though he had personally authored them.

is a scenic canyon on the Jinsha River (Golden Sands River; Jīnshā Jiāng), a primary tributary of the upper Yangtze River.

is a 1,300-square-kilometre (500-square-mile) national park located in Shangri-La County, Yunnan Province in the People's Republic of China.

So the following day, we hopped into the car to Shangri-la right after discovering the beauty of Lijiang . We went to the Tiger Leaping Gorge which is one of the deepest gorges with spectacular sceneries on the planet, and it has the best hiking trail in the China. We continued our journey to Shangri-la's Old Town and even the Potatso/ Pudacuo National Park.

来到了普达措国家公园，本来有3大景区但因为要保护生态环境，所以关了2个。目前只能游玩1个景区，但也走了好久，景区都好大风景好优美啊。
然后在独克宗古城闲逛，原来前几年发生了大火，把真正的古城景色都烧光了。现在看到的独克宗古城是之后重建的。难怪建筑物看起来都是新新的❤️❤️推着世界最大转经筒，祈祷世界和平~
香格里拉海拔平均3160米，属于高原地区，以藏族人为多，藏传佛教的圣地，人们亲切和善，环境优美，有高地大草原，高原湖泊湿地，倚天拌云的一个世外桃源。⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
第一次来到高原，带着点点的高原反应畅游香格里拉，可惜时间不够只停留3天，真的好想再在香格里拉多呆几天，好好地把香格里拉走遍❗❗❗
