John and Iryna FastTrot/Waltz Dedication - Minsk
This showcase is a combination of American Smooth and International Standard Foxtrots with a Viennese Waltz which is performed, in part, to a song recorded by John in Argentina. The dedication is to Iryna's mother, Larisa Mialyantsava, who supported her daughter night and day through dance school, made all her dresses by hand and faithfully attended her competitions, helping her become a Belarusian Champion. There are other mothers and family members who have made the same sacrifices for their loved ones in the ballroom dance world. To them and Larisa, spasibo!

bilin demo 07-08-09 by haitham al katib
Bil'in demo another arrest and lots of gas 07.08.09
At today's weekly non-violent demonstration, the occupation forces arrested yet another Palestinian man, Rany Ayoub Yousef Najar. He is a local cameraman who was wearing the clearly visible green jacket of the Press at the time of his arrest.
Once the protesters arrived close to the Separation Wall, activists from Italy, France, Israel and Bil'in were addressing the soldiers, demanding an end to the military occupation and the Wall. Then the chanting of Palestinian freedom slogan resumed while some of the activists tried to open the gate at the Green Line without success. The Army threw a multiple of tear gas and sound bombs into the crowd. Then the first arrest occurred. After having blindfolded and handcuffed the cameraman, the soldiers entered through the gate a second time. But the air was still heavy with tear gas which made the soldiers retreat to their outpost without arresting anyone else.
The protesters held their ground and were soon sprayed with the foul chemical water and more tear gas. After one hour into the demonstration, the protesters returned back to the village.
An alert of a big fire near the house of Abdulfatah Bornat came soon after. The occupation forces had thrown tear gas into the field in the wake of the demonstration which resulted in burning the dry vegetation. A fire truck had to be called from a nearby village to come and extinguish the fire. It had already burnt a large field.
Vaticano-Russia, card.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Within nations occupied by the Axis Powers in World War II, some citizens and organizations, prompted by nationalism, ethnic hatred, anti-communism, antisemitism, opportunism, self-defense, or often a combination, knowingly collaborated with the Axis Powers. Some of these collaborators committed war crimes, crimes against humanity, or atrocities of the Holocaust.Collaboration has been defined as cooperation between elements of the population of a defeated state and representatives of a victorious power. Stanley Hoffmann subdivided collaboration into involuntary (reluctant recognition of necessity) and voluntary (exploitation of necessity). According to Hoffmann, collaborationism can be subdivided into servile and ideological; the former is deliberate service to an enemy, whereas the latter is deliberate advocacy of cooperation with a foreign force which is seen as a champion of desirable domestic transformations. In contrast, Bertram Gordon uses the terms collaborator and collaborationist, respectively, in reference to non-ideological and ideological collaborations. The term collaborator has also been applied to persons, organizations, or countries that were not under occupation by the Axis Powers but that ideologically, financially, or militarily, before or during World War II, supported Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, or World War II-era Imperial Japan.
