Pisa, Tuscany, Italy - city tour
Pisa is a city in Tuscany, Central Italy, straddling the River Arno just before it empties into the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. It is best known for its iconic Leaning Tower. Already tilting when it was completed in 1372, the 56m white-marble cylinder is the bell tower of the Romanesque, striped-marble cathedral that rises next to it in the Piazza dei Miracoli. Also in the piazza is the Baptistry, whose renowned acoustics are demonstrated by amateur singers daily, and the Caposanto Monumentale cemetery.
The city contains more than 20 other historic churches, several medieval palaces and various bridges across the River Arno. Much of the city's architecture was financed from its history as one of the Italian maritime republics.
The city is also home of the University of Pisa, which has a history going back to the 12th century and also has the mythic Napoleonic Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies as the best sanctioned Superior Graduate Schools in Italy.

Florentine Delights and Tuscan Side-Trips
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | In this second of two episodes on Florence, we'll enjoy more of the exquisite artistic treasures of the city that propelled Europe out of the Middle Ages. Then we'll side-trip to a couple of rival cities and cultural capitals in their own right, Pisa and Lucca, where we'll marvel at a tipsy tower, circle a city on its ramparts, and enjoy some Puccini in his hometown. © 2012 Rick Steves' Europe
Pisa - original Tuscany, Italy 4K
english / deutsch::
If you want to explore the sights of Pisa, the month of May, so the preseason. The city is a well known place because of the Campanile, the leaning tower of Pisa. Many tourists leave not far from Leaning Tower, interesting is Pisa, as it is one of the cities of Tuscany, which has remained quite original. The city center extends from the train station in the south to Piazza dei Miracoli with the Leaning Tower in the north. The bridge Ponte di Mezzo, which crosses the Arno river, is the highlight of the historic quarters of San Martino, Santa Maria, San Francesco and Sant'Antonio. One can wonderfully stay in the small streets, a clear trip tip from me!

There are SO many great things about traveling in Italy, but also a few negative things - and some things that are great to keep in mind before you go there. After being in Tuscany for about a month, I'm sharing my 5 best & worst things about Tuscany.
I hope you can get a few tips and tricks to enjoy your stay there even more. My favorite things include - amongst other things - taking a cooking class and seeing the inside of the leaning tower in Pisa, and some of the worst things - in my opinion - are traffic and siesta.

Just a 6 minutes of impressions after our last chasing of spring - March weekend in Florence and Pisa. Tuscany, music, pizza, pasta, wine, you know, this stuff. Lovers, kisses, busy streets, crowded restaurants, cosy hotel. If you want to stay in Florence, try Hotel Perseo - ideally located 100 meters away from Duomo, yet clean, quiet, with exceptionally friendly staff.

4K PISA Italy, Leaning Tower and City TOUR
I've been in Pisa before, but this is first time I decided to see all attractions of PISA and go inside main cathedral, baptistry and finally to climb Pisa Leaning tower (Tower of Pisa or Bell Tower).
I will also take you on short tour through the city, as I walk on the Pisa city wall that is slightly more than 3km. This wall goes from the main square down to the river.
I will show you few things to do in Pisa and will take you on a short city tour.
This is not the last city I visited in Italy during this duty so there are more italian travel videos and tours.
