Bangalore - fire in utility building
This is exclusive video taken in my mobile. I was in the building during this event.
Bangalore amazing building lighting
Mayo Hall, an iconic structure made in the memory of Lord Mayo, the 4th Viceroy of India
Mayo Hall is an old, iconic structure made of brick and concrete in the memory of Lord Mayo, the 4th Viceroy of India located in the heart of Bangalore. This building is situated on the popular MG road in Bangalore city next to Public Utility Building and offers a panoramic view of the city's Parade grounds and Ulsoor Lake on one side, and the Bangalore Race Course and Brigade Grounds on the south.
This structure has two floors and is known for its ornate furniture and architecture. adorned by chandeliers, Greek cornices, wooden floors, Tuscan columns, stone arches and beautiful furnishings; this old double storied building is a popular tourist attraction these days. Mayo Hall was the first of the many structures built in the memory of Lord Mayo across the country as later many more buildings such as Mayo Hospitals and Mayo Schools were opened in other parts of the country.
Today Mayo Hall stands shorn of its greenery and breathing space. Tall buildings such as the Public Utility building and the Central Mall are its neighbours. Nearby heavy traffic generates significant sound pollution. The future of this historical building remains uncertain. There is an apprehension that many of Bangalore's landmarks may, as is typical of old buildings, fall into disrepair or neglect in the future. This may be prevented, however, by an increase in communal pride and interest in history and heritage. Many philanthropists and the local government are collaborating to support efforts that preserve and promote heritage and culture. Mayo Hall is a case in point in history-rich Bangalore that deserves such support.

Prominent buildings of Bangalore
Cosmopolitan Bengaluru or Bangalore is one of India' s most developed and prominent metropolis of India. In this developed city a few most important buildings can be observed. Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state legislature of Karnataka. With the Indian flag raised high over the Vidhana Soudha it stands as one one the most prominent buildings. Then Jamia Masjid is observed near to the City Market which seems to be hugely crowded with traffic and people. Esteem Mall can also be seen across the Hebbal flyover. UB city, the luxury mall of Bangalore is seen. Iskcon temple can also be noticed adorned with lights and nicely decorated at night. A building which is being newly constructed can also be seen.
Cosmopolitan Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore) is one of India's most progressive and developed cities, blessed with a benevolent climate and a burgeoning drinking, dining and shopping scene. Yes, its creature comforts are a godsend to the weary traveller who has done the hard yards and it's a great city for mixing with locals in craft beer joints or quirky independent cafes. Though there are no world-class sights, you'll find lovely parks and striking Victorian-era architecture.
The past decade has seen a mad surge of development, coupled with traffic congestion and rising pollution levels. But the central district (dating back to the British Raj years) remains little changed, and the landmark corporate HQs and business parks of the city's booming IT industry are mostly in the outer suburbs.

Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India and one of the busiest cities in India. As the sun sets the radiance of the city is replaced by the glow of the lights. Imagine a day where there is total blackout whatever reason it may be, an alien invasion? Could be anything, and when its pitch black and you look up and see the stars gazing. In reality it’s impossible to star gaze with the amount of light pollution in the city. This idea was originated from the videos and photos taken by Nicholas and Thierry Cohen where they had shown different cities under the stars. On the similar lines, this video is an attempt to show how Bangalore city would look like under the stars.
