We were on holiday this summer at the Blue Bay Hotel Puerto Banus Marbella. The hotel was a pleasant coastal walk along from the Puerto Banus Marina that is well known for it's exclusive designer label shops and large private yachts. Puerto Banus marina is recognised as being one of the most glamorous ports in Spain. The marina is jam packed with wonderful yachts while on shore the latest models of the most exotic cars are commonplace. then there are the boutiques, restaurants,...
This is our holiday walkaround of this famous marina and it immediate shopping streets.
Puerto Banus is situated in Nueva Andalusia, Marbella. It was built in 1970, just after the tourist boom of the Costa del Sol to turn Malaga into a privileged place. Jose Banus and Noldi Schreck (who participated in the design of Beverly Hills) were the people who developed the project with the aim to create not only a luxury port, but also an exclusive area inside Marbella.
Puerto Banus is situated 64 kilometres away from Malaga in an area protected by the Penibetica Mountain Range, that produces a microclimate on the whole Costa del Sol of which Puerto Banus benefits from. Its average annual temperature is 18ºC (64ºF) although during the months of July and August it can reach up to 40º.
A walk around Puerto Banus will show us some of the most luxurious shops that are situated in this marina, some examples are Christian Dior, Gucci, Bvlgari, Versace, D&G, amongst many others.

Puerto Banus, Marbella is a luxury marina, famous for the glamorous lifestyle of the rich and wealthy. Here you can see plenty of supercars, fancy yachts and designer boutiques.

Puerto Banús ist ein Jachthafen in Marbella, Malaga, Andalusien, Spanien.
Heute ist der Hafen Treffpunkt wohlhabender Bürger. Die Liegegebühr beträgt zum Teil 500.000 Euro pro Quadratmeter. Die größten Yachten sind bis zu 70 Meter lang. Weiterhin stellt der Yachthafen von Marbella den Mittelpunkt des Nachtlebens der Costa del Sol dar.
Puerto José Banús, more commonly known simply as Puerto Banús, is a marina located in the area of Nueva Andalucía, to the southwest of Marbella, Spain on the Costa del Sol. It was built in May 1970 by José Banús, a local property developer, as a luxury marina and shopping complex. It has since become one of the largest entertainment centres in the Costa del Sol, with 5 million annual visitors, and is popular with international celebrities.
Puerto Banús contains expensive shopping malls, restaurants and bars around the marina. It is also scene to many exotic cars that are owned by international celebrities and wealthy owners that also own large yachts. Luxury cars like Rolls Royces and high end sports cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Mercedes Benz are a common sight in the summer months around Marbella and Puerto Banus.

I've been listening to a new band (formed earlier this year, I believe), known as Platforms, led by Mike Palace (of Palace (Masters of the universe) fame). I've been completely hooked on their music since I first heard it a few weeks ago, so it was only a matter of time before one of our new videos would feature their songs in it. I hope you guys will enjoy both the sounds and the sights.
So far, Platforms have recorded only four songs (yeah, they're that new), fusing together everything from 70s pomp (think Styx), to 80s Stallone/Vandamme movie soundtrack music, with a clear and very welcome Syntwhave/New Retrowave foundation.

A first-person perspective Marbella walk tour of Marbella Beach, Promenade and Marina.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person!) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of Marbella, featuring Marbella Beach, Promenade and Marina. The tour begins across from Marbella Lighthouse at the marina next to Faro Beach, then heads east along the coast alongside Venus Beach, and finishes looking towards Bajadilla Beach.
Sights seen along the tour include Marbella Lighthouse, a Marbella marina with various yachts, Real Club Maritimo Marbella, a sand-sculpture with houses, trees and a flaming volcano, tourists, an outdoor gym, restaurants and bars (including El Chiringuito, Mahiki Beach by Solo, and Amare Beach Club Marbella), and Marbella beaches (Faro, Venus and Bajadilla).
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

Puerto Banus - Exclusive and exotic
Puerto Banus is located to the west of Marbella, before you reach the small town of San Pedro de Alcantara.
A relatively new town on the scene, it was actually developed in the seventies in a beautiful setting within the town of Marbella, by the local developer Jose Banús. The area affords a beautiful setting, with an impressive mountain backdrop and ocean views.
Puerto Banus has fast become a mix of jet set playground, combined with hen and stag party hang out. Here you can while away hours sipping a cocktail in the port watching the super rich on their luxury yachts and the Ferraris and Lamborghinis drive by.

The prime party spot on the Costa del Sol. Expect to pay 10 euros ($20) per drink. This area is not called the Spanish Riviera for nothing. Expect to be up until sun-up if you're going to party here...not for the faint of heart!
Puerto Banus unfortunately / fortunately has become the place to come for stag and hen weekends. Great for businesses, bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping, not so great sometimes to people like us that live here ....
