This is a short glimpse behind the scenes at the 2nd Annual Qingdao Art and Music Festival. This is a two day event where festival goers camp out in the hills taking in the scenery and good times.

Tsingtao Beer Museum and Zhongshan Park in Qingdao, China | Chinese Journey
On our final day in Qingdao, the blue skies return and we visit the Qingdao Beer Museum before heading to Zhongshan Park to see a bird’s eye view of the city. On a beautiful beach we say goodbye to Qingdao while watching locals play and exercise. So many happy memories on this trip. We hope you can visit Qingdao soon and experience the seafood, scenery, and architecture.

The main peak of Laoshan Mountain is called Kyoho. It is also called Lao Ding. It is the first peak of China coastline with the altitude of 1132.7 meters. China is filled with some of the largest malls in the world; they tend to draw large crowds and have all sorts of fun things to do. From Shopping to Skating, Movies to Milkshakes (or Boba haha) it feels like you could spend the entire day at the mall and still have not seen it all!

Song from Chinese Opera in Zhongshan Park, Qingdao
I walked through Zhongshan Park in Qingdao at a Sunday in October 2017 and came across a stunning performance of songs apparently from the chinese opera repertoire. The more and more enthusiastically performing lady has been accompanied by her husband (?) with a woodblock and a small orchestra playing from a mobile speaker.
