A Week in Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia
Underwater and overland fun in Raja Ampat, based out of Papua Paradise on Birie Island over a period of a week at the end of 2013. A beautiful land that time forgot, thriving with life, which we all hope remains this way. We were also very lucky to see not one, but two Wilson's Bird of Paradise. Raja Ampat is definitely one of the most beautiful places left on earth.

The territory within the islands of the Four Kings is enormous, covering 9.8 million acres of land and sea, home to 540 types of corals, more than 1,000 types of coral fish and 700 types of mollusks. This makes it the most diverse living library for world's coral reef and underwater biota. According to a report developed by The Nature Conservancy and Conservation International, around 75 percent of the world's species live here.
