The city of Hajipur has a long and rich history and is famous for being Mahavir’s birthplace, the place where Buddha delivered his last sermon, the birthplace of democracy and the Licchavi Republic, and the famous Ramchaura Mandir. The Ramchaura Mandir is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Rama. Here, prayers are offered to a pair of embossed footprints that are said to belong to Shri Rama. According to Valmiki’s Ramayana, Rama, Lakshmana and Vishwamitra spent the night here, at this spot, when they were on their way to attend Sita’s swayamvara in Janakpura. It is also believed that Shri Rama received his first mundan (tonsuring ceremony) here.
The temple is an important landmark in the city and all tourists who pass through stop by the temple to take the darshan of Shri Rama and his feet. This ancient temple has attracted pilgrims for many, many years. According to one story, Tulsidas installed the statues of Rama, Lakshmana, Sita and Hanuman and performed pujas for many days outside the temple. Archaeologists have found evidence of an ancient yagna shala and unburnt wood, incense sticks, havan offerings, pots, etc. in a ditch, southwest of the temple. This reveals that the temple was always an active religious centre, much as it is today.
Today, the temple attracts huge crowds during Ram Navami as people gather for darshan and enjoy the nine-day long celebrations and mela organized by the temple, within its complex.

गणतंत्र की धरती वैशाली के हाजीपुर में धूमधाम से मनाई गई रामनवमी पर्व
हाजीपुर रामनवमी के शुभ अवसर पर बच्चे बच्चे के हाथों में तलवार देखें गए। चौका देने वाली बात यह है कि बच्चे बताते हैं कि दुश्मन को मारने के लिए तलवार हम रखे हुए । वहीं चौक चौराहे पर प्रशासन की गस्ती देखी गई हाजीपुर अंचलाधिकारी बताया कि रामनवमी के अवसर पर किसी भी प्रकार का असामाजिक तत्वों के द्वारा उपद्रव न मचाया जाए । इस लिए भारी संख्या में प्रशासनिक बल को तैनात कर दिया गया है।
रामचौरा मंदिर हाजीपुर पर्यटन का प्रमुख गंतव्य स्थान है। यह मंदिर भगवान राम को समर्पित है। जनकपुर जाते समय रास्ते में इस मंदिर की सैर की जा सकती है तथा यह उस स्थान पर बनाया गया है जहाँ ज़मीन पर भगवान के पदचिह्न मिले थे। किवदंतियों के अनुसार इस स्थान पर भगवान राम का पहली बार मुंडन किया गया था। यहाँ रामनवमी के समय उत्सव मनाया जाता है तथा इस समय यहाँ एक मेला भी लगता है। इस पाखंडी स्थान पर “बारी संगत” और “छोटी संगत” भी है जहाँ प्राचीन काल में कई संत प्रार्थना करने के लिए आते थे।

भारत के बिहार राज्य के हाजीपुर शहर में जढुआ रोड पर विराजमान है पातालेश्वर महादेव. यहाँ के लोगो के अनुसार इस मंदिर का अस्तित्व प्राचीन काल से है और कहा जाता है की यहाँ स्वयं शिवलिंग की उत्पत्ति हुई है। पातालेश्वर मंदिर का इतिहास दिलचप्स है। सोलंकी युग के राजा सिद्धराज सोलंकी का जन्म इस स्थान पर हुआ। उत्सव में महारानी मिलान देवी ने आदेश दिया की प्यासे यात्रियों के लिए कुआँ खोदा जाये। कुआँ खोदते समय ही शिवलिंग की उत्पत्ति हुई और बाद में पातालेश्वर महादेव मंदिर का निर्माण हुआ। यहाँ से जुड़ी एक और रोचक कहानी है जो यहाँ के मंदिर के तत्कालीन पुजारी िश वीडियो में बता रहे है। इसका उपनाम पटल ईश्वर है,जिसका अर्थ जमीन के निचे के भगवन से है ,वास्तविक रूप से मंदिर का निर्माण आठवीं शताब्दी में जमीन से ४० फ़ीट नीचे किया गया था। जबकि नई संरचना का निर्माण जमीन के ऊपर किया गया है। मंदिर के मुख्य देवता भगवन भोले नाथ है। बड़ी धूमधाम और उत्साह के साथ यहाँ महाशिवरात्रि मनाई जाती है. महाशिवरात्रि के दिन अपने अराध्य देवता के दर्शन करने यहाँ दूर दूर से भक्त आते है. अभी subscribe YOUTUBE CHANEL MTCV A TO Z
