We wanted to bring some Christmas spirits and atmosphere to RanuaZoo by giving the animals little presents in their own style.
In this video you can see an arctic Fox, a Lynx, polar bears, a beaver, pigs, mouses and reindeer in the Zoo having a little Christmas surprises.

The Ranua Wildlife Park - Ranua / Lapland : Meets The Polar Bears
Finnish speaking is the most popular, but more tourists from many countries like China, for example, aren't just Finns watching the Polar Bears.
The Ranua Wildlife Park is the most popular family vacation destination in Lapland and the Greatest tourist attraction in Ranua. The Wildlife Park has developed into a fine complex of excellent accommodation and other program services. In the winter the Wildlife Park is favored. Mostly by foreign tourist groups, in the summer the majority of our visitors are domestic family vacationers.

Located in Ranua, Finland, Ranua Wildlife Park is home to 51 arctic animal species, including polar bears, beavers, wolverines, and snowy owls.
The animals live in the large enclosures in the forests. Established in 1981, the zoo is open every day of the year.
During winter the zoo is covered with snow. It is beautiful but it can also be slippery in some parts. If you visit the zoo during winter time, I would recommend you to wear spikes on your winter shoes, otherwise you can also just walk slowly. I had to slide down in some parts as it was slippery. It was fun, though.

FINLAND DAY 2 (Ranua Zoo, Ice Hotel, Glass Igloo)
Second day of our Finland trip! We visited Ranua Wildlife Park where we got to see many animals that live in the arctic region. We also explored the ice hotel and the ice bar in Rovaniemi, and ended our day off with a stay in their glass igloos!!
