Pike Place Market - AMERICA'S #1 CHOWDER + Must-Eat Market Tour in Seattle | American Food!

Pike Place Market is a landmark of #Seattle, and one of the oldest continuously functioning markets in the United States. I had been there once before when I was a kid, but this time I was on a mission to go on the ultimate Pike Place Market food tour!
In this video you’ll find some of the best food within the market and all the details about what to order and eat when you’re in Seattle, Washington. One tip - go early to start eating before the main huge rush comes - when it gets to mid-day, the market is packed.
Here are all the restaurants we tried at #PikePlaceMarket:
Lowell's Restaurant - For breakfast we went to the legendary Lowell's Restaurant, serving a mix of classic American food including seafood. I wanted to try their dungeness crab eggs benedict, which was a little expensive, but pretty good.
Dungeness crab eggs benedict - $25
Pure Food Fish Market - Next to Lowell’s don’t miss the smoked salmon. Again, it’s not cheap, but it’s so good, salmon glistening and embedded with smoke.
½ Pound salmon - $16.56
Ghost Alley Espresso - Next on this Pike Place Market food tour I was in desperate need of a coffee to begin the morning so we navigated our way past the gnarly gum alley to Ghost Alley Espresso. Great place for a quick cup of espresso.
Doppio espresso - $3
Piroshky Piroshky - A legendary bakery that serves mostly Russian influenced baked goods, both sweet and savory, is Piroshky Piroshky. Again, I tried to keep it pretty classic, and Seattle style, so Jason and I split the salmon pate piroshky. It was very tasty, with a cream cheesy taste.
Salmon - $6.85
Pike Place Chowder - Having won every chowder competition and award in the US as possible, Pike Place Chowder serves America’s #1 Chowder. So you know you can’t miss it when you go to Pike Place Market. We got in line about 20 minutes before they opened and line didn’t take long. You order, get your chowder, and then sit down. I don’t have too much experience with chowder, but indeed it was good, and I also really liked the seafood bisque.
Total price - $37.76 total
Beecher's Handmade Cheese - Another classic is Beecher's Handmade Cheese where you can sample cheese curds and also order grilled cheese sandwiches.
Flagship sandwich - $7.49
Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt - They also have a very loyal following and for sure it’s some of the best yogurt I’ve ever tried.
Market Grill - Finally to end this Seattle food tour we stopped at Market Grill, right in the heart of the market and I ordered the grilled salmon plate. Overall, it was good, and a perfect ending to this extreme food tour!
Grilled salmon plate - $15

Wildlife safari in America-Winston,Oregon - part 1
Wildlife Safari began as the vision & dream of one man- Frank Hart. It was Hart’s goal to create a facility in the Pacific Northwest that would work to save rare and endangered species from all around the world. Almost 50 years later, Wildlife Safari has grown into an internationally recognized non-profit wildlife park dedicated to conservation, education, and animals in wide open spaces.
The park opened in 1972 and is the only drive-through animal park in the state of Oregon. Wildlife Safari features over 500 animals representing their wild counterparts from all around the globe, making us a true intersection of human and nature nestled into the picturesque hills of Southern Oregon; a veritable Garden of Eden, horticultural wonderland and Giraffic Park, all in one. With over 400 acres of space for some of the rarest, most endangered and simply coolest species on earth to roam, Wildlife Safari is truly an experience beyond a zoo.

NEW Otis Compass Plus Gen2 Elevators at Disney's Coronado Springs - Gran Destino Tower, Orlando, FL
Recorded: 10/26/2019
These are the elevators at the NEW Gran Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. This is Walt Disney World's FIRST Destination Dispatch! The Paradise Pier Resort in Disneyland (California) also has Otis Compass, but those are mods. I felt that Disney would never get Destination Dispatch. Although it's a good idea, the GP doesn't like it at all. A lot of people get confused, annoyed, and frustrated at the system. When I was here, I overheard at least two people talk about how confusing the system is, and even saw somebody try to get on a car that wasn't going anywhere (until I told them). I feel like Disney wouldn't have implemented this system because they would realize (from systems in other places) that they would have a lot of agitated people, the last thing the happiest place on Earth needs. However, Disney went through with this one, and at least I'm happy about it. I talked to a Cast Member that said they are working opening day at the upcoming Disney's Riviera Resort, and he said that they will have a specialized elevator system similar to this one, meaning that they are also getting DD. These elevators are very nice, as with the resort. They go 500 FPM, which is the maximum speed for Gen2s. This being Disney, I think they could have put two more cars in. Disney often has a lot of elevators to keep the crowds moving. For example, the main bank of elevators at Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) has 5 cars for 6 floors. In comparison, this is 6 cars for 16 floors, so the ratio is far off, but based of my first experience, I haven't had any long waits, so I think they are doing alright.

TIPS FOR PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO ANTARCTICA When you are planning your trip to Antarctica, there are going to be two major options you should decide on before moving on to the little details of your trip. These are whether you want to fly across or cruise through the Drake Passage. Be aware that the majority of your trip will be dependant on the weather. Once you get to a certain point you have to wait for a good window of weather in order to get to Antarctica. For instance, when traveling with Antarctica 21,if you can’t get down there in four days due to the weather conditions, the company will refund you the money of your trip. When flying to Antarctica, the chartered flight you will be taking is through a commercial airline, one that you may say is better than a commercial flight you’ve taken in the States. If you are traveling with kids here are a few questions you should ask yourself for any trip you plan but for this trip especially. Will they remember the trip? Are they comfortable with a look of air travel? Are they good with structured activities? Will they be okay with alone time or entertaining themselves? (There are no kids clubs on a trip like this.) Are they good with following directions? (Being on a ship there are plenty of safety concerns as well as with wildlife.) Who do they do in cold weather? Does your child(ren) love nature? Some of the cruise lines have a minimum age for kids. Keep that in mind when booking. For example Antarctica 21has a minimum age of 8 years old. But even though there is a minimum age you still might think about waiting a few more years depending on your answers to the questions above. The teen age years may be best for your family to get the most out of your trip. Antarctica has a very short tourist season from early December through early March. If your main interest is to see penguin chicks, you should plan on going in late January since they tend to hatch around Christmas time. The seven-day, six-night cruise seems to give you a good chunk of time for your trip, but there are longer cruises available depending on how much you would like to spend. But keep in mind that travel time to get there could take you two or three days both there and back, which will make your trip about 12 days long from start to finish. On board the ship, there will be about two excursions a day; one in the morning and one in the evening. There will also be chances to pay extra and do some outdoor activities like snowshoeing. On-ship, there are informational talks you can go to and learn more about the area and if you are adventurous enough you can be a part of a polar plunge off the side of the boat. When you are going out on the land you are right out in the wild. You could possibly get within a foot of a penguin as they are waddling by to go to the sea or on their way back to their...

The Willamette Meteorite - Yancy Pre-Ops Look-Over At Replica
On a tip from a WGT.com golfer, Yancy heads over at dusk to take a look over at the replica meteorite that now resides in a circle area along on the sidewalk of West Linn, Oregon.
Having heard some truly intriguable informations from this contact, Team Yancy will be returning to this site for a full-scale all-beta exploration what with all the meters, some snacks, and as always the robot spiders and such.
SOME HISTORY & EPIC BACKSTORY OF THE WILLAMETTE METEORITE FOR YOU, IT IS THE BIGGEST EVER FOUND IN THE UNITED STATES:
The Willamette Meteorite, officially named Willamette, is an iron-nickel meteorite discovered in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is the largest meteorite found in North America and the sixth largest in the world. There was no impact crater at the discovery site; researchers believe the meteorite landed in what is now Canada or Montana, and was transported as a glacial erratic to the Willamette Valley during the Missoula Floods at the end of the last Ice Age (~13,000 years ago). The meteorite is currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History, which acquired the meteorite in 1906. Having been seen by an estimated 40 million people over the years, and given its striking appearance, it is among the most famous meteorites known.
The Willamette Meteorite weighs about 32,000 pounds (15,000 kg). It is classified as a type III iron meteorite, being composed of over 91% iron and 7.62% nickel, with traces of cobalt and phosphorus. The approximate dimensions of the meteorite are 10 feet (3 m) tall by 6.5 feet (2 m) wide by 4.25 feet (1.3 m) deep. The deep crevasses of the meteorite resulted from both its high-speed atmospheric entry and subsequent terrestrialization, i.e., weathering. Exposed to the elements for thousands of years, rainwater interacted with the mineral troilite, resulting in a form of sulfuric acid which slowly dissolved portions of the meteorite. This resulted (over a very long period) in the development of the hollows that are visible today. Willamette has a recrystallized structure with only traces of a medium Widmanstätten pattern; it is the result of a significant impact-heating event on the parent body.
The Willamette Meteorite was discovered in the Willamette Valley of Oregon near the modern city of West Linn. Although apparently known to Native Americans, its modern discovery was made by settler Ellis Hughes in 1902. At that time the land was owned by the Oregon Iron and Steel Company. Hughes recognized the meteorite's significance, and in an attempt to claim ownership, secretly moved it to his own land. This involved 90 days of hard work to cover the 3/4 mile (1200 m) distance. The move was discovered, and after a lawsuit, the Oregon Supreme Court held that Oregon Iron and Steel Company was the legal owner. Oregon Iron Co. v. Hughes, 47 Or 313, 82 P 572 (1905).
In 1905 the meteorite was purchased by Mrs. William E. Dodge for $26,000 (around $680,000 in 2011). After being displayed at the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition, it was donated to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City where it has since been on display.
A replica of the meteorite is in Eugene, Oregon, outside the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History on the University of Oregon campus.[12] Another replica stands near the Willamette Methodist Church in West Linn, Oregon.[28]

Grand Disaster: Inside an Underground Circus (Circus Contraption - 2002 - Feature)
A decade after its initial release and Portland, Oregon, festival run, Grand Disaster: Inside an Underground Circus remains an extraordinary documentary portrait of the brave and authentic group of circus artists who were members of Seattle's Circus Contraption in 2001 and 2002.
Join this acclaimed, one-of-a-kind troupe on an ambitious three-month summer tour across the US aboard the second-hand transit bus they called home. See how their unique punk-cabaret musical sensibility and inspired performance vision drew upon the best of Old European and early 20th century vaudevilleian traditions to help revitalize the world of circus arts in America.
This road trip epic gains new relevance today after the tragic and senseless shooting that claimed the lives of two of Circus Contraption's members (original bassist Joe Albanese and more recent frontman Drew Kariakedes, who was not yet a member of the group when the documentary was made) along with three other victims in Seattle in May 2012 (
