Rautatientori (Helsinki)
Rautatientori (Swedish: Järnvägstorget) is an open square in central Helsinki, immediately to the east of the Helsinki Central railway station. The square mostly serves as Helsinki's secondary bus station (the primary one being at the Kamppi Center). The square faces the eastern side of the railway station, with two ornate entrances: a bigger one for public use, and a smaller one exclusively for the President of Finland and his/her official guests. At one side of the square is the entrance to the Rautatieasema (Central Railway Station) and the Rautatientori metro station and near to the opposite corner is the entrance to the Kaisaniemi metro station. During summer afternoons and evenings, the pub tram Spårakoff departs from the Mikonkatu tram stop in the square once per hour.

Rautatientori Railway Square: Weekend in Helsinki
Rautatientori Railway Station and Square is the heart beat of Helsinki. Here is a beehive of activity, of people busy living, going and doing. The station is located in the center of the peninsula. Outside the main entrance stand two large statues holding lanterns, created by Eliel Saarinen. The stern architecture reflects the Russian influence on Finland.

Winter time outside The Helsinki Central Railway Station (East Side) is a ice skating arena. You can rent the skates from there, so you dont need to have your own (you can see it in this video also).
HOW TO GET THERE?
It locates Center of The Helsinki. From Helsinki Airport you will get there easily with train number (name) I and P. If you need to go back to the Helsinki Airport just use the same train. One way trip takes about 20 min.
