First visit to Udaipur City Rajasthan India vlog 18 Udaipur sightseeing Travel Video Youtube
I have arrived in Udaipur Rajasthan India, also known as the Pink City, many of you will know the monsoon palace on the lake here in Udaipur was the location for the James Bond film Octopussy, but for me Udaipur is about the beautiful architecture on the palace on the lake and the Indian culture of the Rajasthan area.
On my Udaipur sightseeing tour I make my way to the Island in the lake and find a good location to watch the sunset on the ghats of Udaipur lake, but can't linger long after watching the beautiful sunset over the lake in Udaipur with the Palace in the background because I'm heading to the Udaipur museum for an evening of to watch the folk music and dancing. I think one of the dances (with twirling people) is the garba dance.

Jaisalmer Sam Sand Dunes, Jodhpur and Udaipur | 7 days budget itinerary
7 Days trip to Rajasthan: We covered 3 colourful cities : Jaisalmer,Jodhpur and Udaipur.
It was a family trip planned during the Christmas week. December is a peak season and prices are usually on the higher side.
Since it was a budget trip, we chose Train and Bus as a mode of transport. We also booked the hotels in advance so that we get a better deal.
Sharing our complete 7 day itinerary:
We boarded our train - Bandra Jaisalmer express from Mumbai. There is only 1 train between Mumbai and Jaisalmer and it runs only on Fridays. So, plan you travel accordingly if you are travelling by train.
Day 1: We reached Jaisalmer at 1:00 PM and checked into our hotel Boomerang. After relaxing for some time, we went to explore the local Jaisalmer market and Food street near the fort.
Must try : Dhanraj Ranmal Bhatia sweet shop - Pyaaj ki kachori, Imarti, Ghewar and Ghotua are the standout dishes.
After munching on the tasty snacks, We went to the fort and enjoyed the amazing sunset.
For dinner we went to 1st gate hotel. This hotel has a roof top restaurant with a perfect fort view.
Day 2: We booked a Desert safari package from our hotel. It costed us Rs 2500 /- per person (a little on the higher side due to christmas) which includes personal to and fro transport between Hotel and Desert camp, Camel ride to desert camp, Jeep safari, Cultural night program and Rajashthani dinner.
Day 3 : On our final day in Jaisalmer, We explored Patwon ki haveli and Gadisar lake.
Day 4 : We boarded an early morning Jaisalmer-Jodhpur express train to Jodhpur. It took us 6-7 hours to reach Jodhpur. After relaxing a bit in our hotel, we took a rickshaw to visit Umaid Bhawan Palace.
This is a very beautiful palace turned 5 star hotel. One part of the palace is a museum and is open to public. Entry ticket - Rs 30 /- per person. Timing - 9 AM to 5 PM.
After visiting Umaid Bhawan, we went for shopping near clock tower and tried some local snacks.
Must try: Samosas, Mirchi vada, Chat and lassi at Shahi Samosa outlet very close to clock tower. Also, traditional clothes, home decors are very reasonable and prices are mostly fixed and non-negotiable at the shop.
other local attractions includes Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada and both are about 2-3 Kms from Clock tower.
Day 5 : After spending one night in Jodhpur, we booked the early morning Rajasthan State Road Transport corporation (RSRTC) bus tickets for Udaipur. There are only few RSRTC AC buses for Udaipur however there is a non-AC RSRCT bus every 30 mins-1 hour.
Tickets for both AC and Non-AC can be booked online via bus ticketing app. We used Redbus.
It took us around 6 hours to reach Udaipur. We checked into our Hotel Minerwa Grand near lake Pichola.
Day 6 : We started early morning to explore the City Palace. Post which we took a boat ride in Lake Pichola and visited Jag Mandir Palace. It was a 30 min long boat ride where you will get to see panoramic view of city palace, Lake palace and Jag Mandir palace.

Relaxing in the Blue City of Jodhpur Rajasthan India Vlog 13 Travel Videos for Youtube
I'm in the Blue City of Jodhpur in Rajasthan India, and haveing spent a couple of days seeing some of the main tourist spots such as Jodhpur Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and the Clock Tower in the market square I'm spending a day just relaxing in the city and soaking up the friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the Old City section of Jodhpur.
While wandering around the backstreets of Jodhpur I stumble upon a the cafe stepwell overlooking a beautifully restored stepwell. This stepwell in Jodhpur is one of the cleanest I have seen, still don't think I would drink the water though.

Lake Pichola, Udaipur and Full Boat Ride, Pichola Jheel HD Video. Lake city, City Palace, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Lake Pichola, situated in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is an artificial fresh water lake, created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village.[1][2] It is one of the several contiguous lakes, and developed over the last few centuries in and around the famous Udaipur city. The lakes around Udaipur were primarily created by building dams to meet the drinking water and irrigation needs of the city and its neighborhood. Two islands, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir are located within Pichola Lake, and have been developed with several palaces to provide views of the lake.[1][3]
There are four islands on the lake:
Jag Niwas, where the Lake Palace is built.
Jag Mandir, with the palace of the same name.
Mohan Mandir, from where the king would watch the annual Gangaur festival celebration.
Arsi Vilas, small island which was an ammunition depot, but also a small palace. This one was built by one of the maharanas of Udaipur to enjoy the sunset on the lake. It is also a sanctuary catering to a variety of birds, including tufted ducks, coots, egrets, terns, cormorants and kingfishers.[4]
Three of the numerous lakes found in the vicinity of Udaipur which connect with the Pichola lake and the Saroop Sagar Lake connected by an arched bridge built by Maharana Swaroop Singh (1842-1861) which in turn connects to the Fateh Sagar Lake, the crystal watered lake in the midst of tree lined hills and the smaller Arsi vilas.
The Lake Pichola is approachable by road from the Udaipur City. Local buses, Tongas, auto-rickshaws and taxis provide the needed transport. Udaipur, in turn, is well connected through the Golden Quadrilateral road network, and it lies equidistant, at 650 kilometres, from Delhi and Mumbai on the National Highway (NH) 8. Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is 6 hours by road and 3.5 hours drive from Ahmedabad to Udaipur. Rajasthan Tourism operates regular bus service from Delhi. It also falls on the East West Corridor which starts from Porbandar and ends at Silchar and intersects the Golden Quadrilateral and a part of this is the stretch from Udaipur to Chittor. 25 km from the lake is the Dabok Airport which connects to Delhi and Bombay. Udaipur Railway Station and Maharana Pratap Bus Stand are both 3 km away from the Lake.
Pichola Lake was built in 1362 AD by Banjara,[6] a gypsy “Banjara” tribesman who transported grain, during the reign of Maharana Lakha. Later, Maharana Udai Singh, impressed by the charm of this lake with the backdrop of green hills, founded the city of Udaipur on the banks of the lake and also enlarged the Lake by constructing a stone masonry dam in the Badipol region on the shore of the Lake.
The lake’s surroundings and the several islands within the lake have been developed over the centuries, with palaces, marble temples, family mansions, bathing ghats or chabutaras (a raised platform, normally within a courtyard); some of the famous ones are the Lake Palace (now converted into a heritage hotel) in the middle of the lake also called the Pichola Palace (pictured) or Jag Nivas located on the Jag Island, the Jag Mandir, the Mohan Mandir (in the northeast corner of the lake built by Jagat Singh between 1628 and 1652), the City Palace of Udaipur (Bansi Ghat) from where boats ply to all other parts of the Lake, the Arsi Vilas Island, which is a sanctuary for birds and the Sitamata Game Sanctuary on the western shore of the Lake.[3][7]
At several locations where the lake narrows, ornamental arch bridges have been built to span the waterway between the banks.[3]
Prince Khurram who rebelled against Jahangir, sought refuge of the Mewar King Maharana Karan Singh II in 1623 and was housed in the partially completed Jag Mandir. Prince Khurram later usurped the Mughal Empire, took the title of Shah Jahan.
Jodhpur to Ajmer by Train Ola taxi to Pushkar in Rajasthan India vlog 14
Having spent a few relaxing days in Jodhpur it's time to continue exploring Rajasthan in India.
Join me in this travel video to experience an Indian Train Journey from arriving at Jodhpur Railway Station, taking the train to Ajmer, and an Ola taxi cab to Pushkar.
I arrive early in the morning to Jodhpur Railway Station to find it is already busy and lots of people are sleeping outside, how they are sleeping through the noise I don't know. After buying some breakfast and snack food for the train journey I watch the dawn as I wait for my train which is running late. When it arrives finding the right compartment on the train proves challenging, and then arriving at Ajmer Railway Station I decide to booking an Ola taxi cab to take me to Pushkar, and finally find my hotel in Pushkar.

UDAIPUR CITY PALACE & LAKE PICHOLA - INDIA TRAVEL VLOG #12
India travel vlog 12. Today I went round Udaipur's grand city palace and then took a boat ride around lake pichola to see the taj lake palace (james bond octupussy palace) and jagmandir palace.
Udaipur City of Lakes Trip, Rajasthan, India
Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes a city in Rajasthan is a stunning location and has a rich cultural background and a great history. Beside shimmering Lake Pichola, with the ochre and purple ridges of the wooded Aravalli Hills stretching away in every direction, Udaipur has a romance of setting unmatched in Rajasthan and arguably in all India. Fantastical palaces, temples, havelis and countless narrow, crooked, timeless streets add the human counterpoint to the city’s natural charms.

India vlog Jaipur to Jodhpur by train NDLS Ajmer & Blue City of Jodhpur Sightseeing
India: Arriving by train, sightseeing and relaxing around the Blue City of Jodhpur. This is the 3rd India video in my India Omnibus travel vlog series. In this travel vlog I start in Jaipur finding the railway station (Jaipur Junction Railway Station), find my train which is the NDLS Ajmer train, and eventually find my carriage in A1 class.
The train journey to Jodhpur is very relaxed, my AC1 class cabin has power plugs, aircon and I am the only one in the cabin which can sleep up to four (4 berth AC1 cabin).
When I reach Jodhpur station I am met by a driver from the The Jodhpur Heritage Haveli where I will be staying while in the Blue City of Jodhpur.
One of the main tourist attractions is the Mehrangarh Fort or Jodhpur Fort which amazing to look around, the biggest fort in Rajasthan and one of the largest forts in India.
The views from the Mehrangarh Fort over the Blue City of Jodhpur are amazing and you can see all the blue buildings which give the old city of Jodhpur its nickname of the Blue City.
I spend time relaxing at Cafe Royale by the clock tower in the main Jodhpur market square, visit Jodhpurs City Palace known as Umaid Palace in Jodhpur, stumble across the Stepwell Cafe overlooking a restored step well (water well) and enjoy wandering the streets and relaxing in the rambling old town of Jodhpur.
