Three-Card Rosicrucian : Occult Card Ritual
A short explication of an esoteric ritual entitled Three-Card Rosicrucian:
First mention of the ritual is in a medieval German manuscript where it is referred to as the Middle High German trinitât, and elsewhere as the Latin trinitas, both meaning trinity.
The ritual is enacted by a single player, the Candidate, or Initiate, who proceeds in solitude while observed by an audience of Judges. The ritual is said to invoke a trance-like state in the Candidate, with proceedings lasting up to 12 hours. The deck of cards acts as an agent of auspices. While in the state of trance, or Elevation, the Candidate keeps a tally of his score on the parchment next to him. The Judges observe every minute detail and correlate the actions of the Candidate with what he has written. Their manuscripts are cross-referenced with his after the final hand has been played. A decision is later arrived upon. The outcome of this decision can decide the fate of the Candidate within the Fraternity.
