A river rafting tour with Rivers Fiji, Pacific Harbour, Fiji, on the Upper Navua River. The is an awesome day long tour with a lunch served about half way through. Our guide for the day on the river was Moses and he is the guide on the 1+ hour bus ride through the country to the put in. He was excellent with instructions on when to paddle and stop, local stories and pointing out highlights along the way.

Zip Fiji - May2012
This is a great way to kill half a day in Fiji. Zip Fiji is about 30 minutes from Pacific Harbour. We soared over the rainforest canopy and river. There are 8 zip lines, some up to 150 metres long, and some of the platforms are high up in the forest with no barriers giving you vertigo as you look over and down to the forest floor. You can do the circuit more than once. The 2nd time round was much better as we got to appreciate the scenery alot more. A must do in Fiji!

River rafting on the island of Viti Levu, Fiji in the upper Navua River
Floating through a deep gorge in a lush, green, tropical rain forest (and it sure was raining), was one amazing experience of beauty at every turn. Countless waterfalls line a seemingly endless stretch of high canyon walls, topped by a green explosion of forest, as you float through narrow passages. This is a full day trip, and an experience you must see for yourself. I was caught many times just staring blankly at the beauty of nature's best. If you're ever in Fiji, I highly recommend to book a river rafting trip.
What makes travelling more incredible are the people you meet. This trip was no exception as we shared this experience with Frankie and Fitzy. Bula Vinaka, in hopes our paths may cross again.
And to our guide David, Vinaka for the wisdom that you imparted when questioned on the weather ... Life is like this: Sometimes sun, sometimes rain.
