Mr and Miss England finals head for the English Riviera
TORQUAY's Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC) is to host the finals of the Miss England beauty pageant 2013.
A total of 72 contestants from all over the country will head for the resort and in this film the current Miss England Charlotte Holmes previews what the English Riviera has to offer them.

We met Alison at International Confex a couple of years ago. Her conferences were traditionally held in universities but were rapidly outgrowing such facilities. She was nervous about trying somewhere new but now she explains why it was such a good move to try Torquay. The Conference is now in its second year at the Riviera International Conference Centre.

I am sharing with you our mini tour in the place where we are staying right now which is provided by the hospital for free in a month. It is a two storey house which has 5 individual rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 shared kitchen & dining area. It has TV & also wifi. I can't complain. I love my personal space!
P.S. We are very much overwhelmed with the love & generosity of our fellow Filipino nurses who came ahead of us. It truly feels home in here. I highly recommend you to choose Torbay & South Devon NHS Trust. Join our happy family here! It might be in countryside, but all the needs are within reach.

The Riviera Hotel is a well-known Art Deco Dorset landmark with a Grade II listing. The hotel has welcomed holidaymakers to its stunning location in Weymouth for over 70 years because is seafront and have direct access to the beach. The hotel is set just above Bowleaze Cove and offers fantastic views across the bay to Weymouth and Portland harbour, which hosted the sailing events during the Olympic Games in 2012.
/p All 98 en-suite chalet style rooms are decorated in a modern contemporary style with a flat screen TV, room safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel offers free parking and Wi-Fi access.
The Riviera Hotel plays host to many of Weymouth s popular events such as European and World Angling championships, veterans day parade, rock n roll and jazz weekends, seafood festivals to name a few. /p The new Bowleaze Restaurant can seat up to 135 guests and the Riviera hotel can cater for any function from 10 - 300 guests.
The Riviera has 2 bars and an indoor leisure centre with heated pool, gymnasium, sauna, steam room, and spa treatments are available. There is also an outside heated pool with sun terrace and sun loungers which is open during the high season.
/p The Riviera Hotel is only 2.5 miles drive from the town centre and a regular bus service operates from outside the hotel in high season. It s easy to find us with the hotel being accessible via the new relief road from Dorchester into Weymouth.
There are also direct train links through Bristol Temple Meads and London Waterloo and we are only 25 miles from Bournemouth International Airport. /p

Built in 1853, this boutique hotel is set in a villa on a leafy road within a conservation area. It's a 5-minute walk from the restaurants and cafes of Torquay Harbour and 1.2 miles from Riviera International Centre.
The 12 plush rooms with en suite bathrooms have flat-screen TVs, tea and coffeemaking facilities and high-end toiletries. All rooms have free WiFi.
Full English breakfast is included in the price and served in an elegant room overlooking the garden or guests can opt for a continental breakfast in their room. There's a bar and lounge, terrace and a garden with a pond and benches.

Fashion show hosted by Lexie Carducci, Miss Torquay 2016 in aid of Beauty with a Purpose
A 5 minute video created by JohnTomkins from Emberlense Productions showcasing Lexie Carducci's charity fashion show at the Riviera International Conference Centre on March 26th 2016. Lexie Carducci (Miss Torquay 2016) hosted the event to raise money for Beauty with a purpose, the official charity of Miss Torquay, Miss London, Miss England and Miss World. £750 was raised on the night through ticket sales, raffle sales and clothes that were modelled and later sold from Lexie's own wardrobe collection.
