Sea Kayaking in Fortescue Bay, Tasmania with Roaring 40s Kayaking
We were invited out by Roaring 40s to explore the amazing Fortescue Bay on the Tasman Peninsula in the south of Tasmania. The bay is absolutely stunning with deep turquoise waters and towering dolerite cliffs. The bay is home to some amazing wildlife with seals, dolphins and sea eagles being spotted. Underneath the water are huge kelp forests with strands of kelp that stretch as tall as trees.

Kayaks and watercraft: Biosecurity in the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA)
This video outlines how people who enjoy fresh water paddling can help to reduce the spread of weeds, pests and pathogens into the TWWHA and other waterways in Tasmania. Tasmania's World Heritage Area is a place of immense natural beauty and ecological importance.
One of the reasons that this area is so unique is that many weeds, pests and pathogens that have caused environmental degradation elsewhere in the world, have not become established due to it remoteness. But the threat is still there, and one dirty boot, tent peg or kayak can cause radical change to this pristine place.
This video series shows what you can do to help reduce the spread of threats to this pristine place and other remote and sensitive areas in Tasmania.
This video shows you how to clean your kayak and gear before entering Tasmanian waterways. A number of the freshwater pathogens of concern are already in Tasmania, so it is just as important to clean your gear between waterways within the State as it is to clean your gear before coming into the State.
Remember: Check, Clean, (Disinfect), Dry.

Quick Peek in Hobart’s Waterfront
I just travelled solo in Australia this early December. I visited Hobart and Sydney for 9 days 8 nights in total.
It’s my first evening on Hobart, it’s about 7 pm but still quite bright outside, so I decided to have have an evening walk in the waterfront before going back to the hostel.
===
For some of you that might not know about the weather in Hobart, it is in early December and the temperature is still about 10 degrees Celsius, even though it would be quite warm at noon if the sun comes out. But compared to Sydney, it's definitely colder, so please prepare more warmer clothes when you visit Hobart.

Quick Peek Series is mini video that I created with a duration less than 60 seconds.
