Ive wanted to fly this place for ages. I ran out of time to get much flying in, but I'll be back for sure. The short grass makes finding a crash easier, the trees are good value as obstacles, and the views up high are great.
Still waiting for new motors.. until then, there's vibes and funny FC behaviour. Feels jerky coming out of corners..

Lismore Flood March 2017 - the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie
Lismore was devastated by the aftermath of Cyclone Debbie - the amount of rain that fell in the catchment in just 2 days broke all previous records.
I rode around and filmed the aftermath and was able to add photographs of the flood at it's peak thanks to Rebekka Battista and Ricky Lewis.
I am very grateful that they permitted me to use their photographs, and also just seeing them myself, as I was unable to get into Lismore when the flood was at it's highest.
200 houses have been condemned due to flood damage, families and businesses have lost so much but there has been a fantastic community spirit in the city, many people helping others and 100's of volunteer emergency service personnel came to help with the clean up and recovery.
There is still much to do and, if you feel that you would like to help, Lismore City Council have started a GoFundMe for this:

Sunnyside Rail Bridge, Tenterfield, NSW
Sunnyside Rail Bridge was constructed from 1882 to 1888 over Tenterfield Creek to service the line from Glen Innes to Wallangara NSW. It is situated approx 12k north of Tenterfield.
The Tenterfield Creek railway bridge is a heritage-listed former railway bridge that carried the Main North line across the Tenterfield Creek from Sunnyside (a rural place in north-west Tenterfield) to Jennings, both in the Tenterfield Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by John Whitton and Engineer-in-Chief for NSW Government Railways and built in 1888. The bridge is also known as the Sunnyside rail bridge over Tenterfield Creek. The property is owned by RailCorp, an agency of the Government of New South Wales and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999

Hundreds of committed citizens of Keerrong and The Channon form a human map of our roads and creeks. The legal system and governments have failed us. Now we're taking a stand. We won't let gas miners contaminate our water, air and land with toxic chemicals. Through grass-roots public meetings and surveys, we reached a 99% majority decision to close our roads and valleys to Coal Seam Gas mining. We're saying to the miners: 'You're not coming here'. As we present the CSG-free road declarations to our mayor, we celebrate the strength of community. This video launches the CSG-free Community Strategy in the Northern Rivers, NSW Australia.
