水戸の六地蔵です。八重桜を見に行きました。
撮影者の腕がわるくて、場の雰囲気やきれいな花が映ってません・・・
現物はきれいでした。由緒あるお寺ですので、樹齢1000年ものの木もあります。

六地蔵寺のシダレザクラ満開　水戸

水戸市六反田町の六地蔵寺（栗原邦俊住職）で、シダレザクラが満開となり、境内は大勢の花見客でにぎわっている。

　徳川光圀ゆかりのシダレザクラは市指定文化財で、枝張りは直径12㍍以上ある。栗原住職によると、今年は19日に開花を確認した。今週いっぱいが見頃という。
　境内では、見物客が咲き誇る桜にカメラを向けたり、桜を背景にボーズを取ったりしていた。ゆっくり見ることができるとあって、老人福祉施設などの入所者の見学も多い。

　大洗町磯浜町の理容師、飯田幸江さん（７３）は「久しぶりに来てみたが、六地蔵寺の桜はきれいなので、心が癒やされる」と話していた。

茨城百景のひとつ、六地蔵寺です。
創建は891年頃といわれ、室町幕府末期に建てられた四脚門は県の指定文化財となっています。
また、水戸藩二代藩主徳川光圀公ゆかりの寺で、境内にある法宝蔵は光圀公が建立しました。
この桜は樹齢170年のシダレザクラで、光圀公が鑑賞した桜の子孫だといわれています。
