Rosemary Beach, Florida Summer Trip 2k14. Will Robinson- To be honest this is my favorite vacation of the year besides the glorious skiing trips in February. Rosemary Beach is located on highway 30A connected with some other hot spot beaches such as Seaside, Seacrest, Watersound, Watercolor, Alysbeach, and Inlet Beach. Florida Scenic Route 30A - Seaside, Alys Beach, Rosemary Beach
Florida Scenic Route 30A is one of the lesser known jewels of the Emerald Coast and there are a ton of things to do along 30A. It's a stretch of road alongside the beach that has very small towns every few minutes or so, each with their very own style and feel. In this video, we show you three of our favorite little towns on the scenic highway.
Seaside, FL is probably the most visited town on 30A. It was used in filming the Truman Show with Jim Carey, and is extremely picturesque. The food trucks that line the main road are some of the main attractions, as well as the awesome beach.
Alys Beach will strike you as one of the most manicured towns you've ever visited. Clearly, the developers of this town had a very specific motif in mind, and thus, everything is black and white which is accented by the perfectly trimmed green grass and shrubbery.
Rosemary Beach is also on our list because it has some very cool little shops, hotels, and boutiques along the beach and has a very Spanish/European feel to it mixed in with a bit of a mountain town layout.
If you happen to visit Destin, FL, or are anywhere along the Emerald Coast, such as Pensacola, Panama City Beach, etc, you should consider a day trip or a couple nights somewhere along 30A!

A tour of Rosemary Beach, Florida shot in early August 2017. Rosemary Beach is one of the most popular 30A communities. Located on the far eastern end of SoWal, Rosemary Beach has a unique European Beach Vibe. Beach cruiser bikes are the main mode of transportation in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

We visited three little beach towns Seaside, Rosemary, and Alys Beach, literally minutes from each other you could walk or bike from one town to the next. Each town had its own personality and vibe and if you are in the area I highly recommend to visit. It is a 9 hour drive from Houston, and the perfect vacation spot for families. This is our second time in the area because we absolutely love it, and I am sure we will be returning soon as it is one of our favorite vacation spots. Rosemary Beach Florida 5BR Gulf View Vacation Rental Home, 50 Rosemary Avenue, Dune's Cottage
Dune's Cottage offers the finest in Southern hospitality. This family sized home was designed on a grand scale with space enough for up to sixteen to spread out comfortably in the main house's five large bedrooms. For larger parties, the carriage house located over the detached garage, will accommodate another 4 guests in its two bedrooms. Located on prestigious Rosemary Avenue, convenient to everything, Dune's Cottage is on the south side of 30-A and just 60 yards from the beach. From the outside, Dune's Cottage exudes antebellum charm with its pillared veranda, multiple French doors that lead to full, wrap-around terraces and an intimate courtyard with Moroccan inspired heated and jetted dipping pool. This is a home built on a grand scale with the highest quality finishes, oversized rooms and high ceilings. Inside, the professionally decorated rooms combine the best of traditional charm with contemporary, beach chic.
Custom, high-end furnishings and original artwork create a standard rarely seen in a vacation home that still manages to be very family friendly. Dune's Cottage offers multiple gathering spaces; whether around the kitchen island, the dining table with seating for 12, or the enormous great room accented with wooden beams and a 14 foot tall limestone fireplace. There are also no shortage of quiet, outdoor spaces for guests to spread out, all lit by the warm glow of ten gas lanterns. There is a lavishly furnished 40 foot wide upper porch, directly off the main great room, that functions as an outdoor living/dining room. The rear of the house has a furnished private courtyard with glass tiled waterfall dipping pool, outdoor shower and grill. The ground level also boasts another furnished wrap around stone terrace accented with a bubbling fountain and hanging swing. Recently added is a dramatic, rear sky deck accessed by a spiral staircase, with retractable shade awning and seating for six, that provides panoramic views of Rosemary Beach, star gazing and dramatic sunsets over the gulf of Mexico.
Dunes cottage was thoughtfully laid out specifically for the perfect beach vacation. It has four well-appointed guestrooms on the ground level each with its own television, DVD player and ipod docking station. These are laid out to function as two separate family suites, each with an oversized, slate and tumbled marble bathroom. One of the two, large bunk rooms can also double as a theater/den with its 44 inch flat screen television and play station that will keep the kids happy. The other three bedrooms have king beds. The lofty, open plan main living area with another large screen TV, make up the entire second floor. The second floor also boasts a convenient second entrance with exterior staircase that leads directly down from the deck to the beach boardwalk that leads directly to the beach. The custom kitchen is a cook's dream that includes a professional wolf range, separate ice maker and even a wall mounted pot filler. The entire third floor contains a luxury master suite, complete with a private balcony, dressing room and enormous bathroom with rain shower and jetted tub.
The detached carriage house, which rents separately from the main house, has a full kitchen, cozy sitting area with large plasma TV and separate bedroom with a king bed and another TV. There are two twin beds in an upper open loft. There is a wrap around porch with a view down the street to the gulf. It is perfect for couples or small families.
Nothing has been forgotten in Dunes' Cottage. You will see why families and large groups return every summer to this home for an unforgettable beach vacation. All rentals receive free endless DVD rentals, complementary tennis and fitness club access.
