Roses is an essentially Mediterranean town with a notable tourist and seafaring tradition.
Located in a unique natural environment in the northern area of the Costa Brava, it is less than 30 km from the French border, 65 km from Girona and 160 km from Barcelona. The Airport at Girona is just 1 hour drive from the resort.
Roses origins date back to the eighth century BC with the arrival of the Greeks. Roses is a modern town, which is culturally active and with proud traditions. The town has prospered since the middle of the 20th century, and boasts excellent shopping, restaurants, bars, beaches, nightlife and sporting facilities.

Roses Girona Costa Brava
Roses Girona Costa Brava es uno de los pueblos más visitados en verano en Cataluña y toda la costa Mediterranea. Miles de turistas llegados de todas partes del mundo deciden pasar en este pueblo sus vacaciones. No es de extrañar por su extrema belleza y sus maravillosas playas y calas que sea uno de los destinos turísticos número uno en el mundo.

El pueblo de Roses Girona Costa Brava tiene varios lugares de obligada visita. La ciudadela es uno de ellos. En ella veremos como se instalaron y como vivían los Griegos y también los Romanos. Esta ciudadela se construyo en el Siglo XVII como protección de los ataques piratas y de los ataques de los Franceses.
El pueblo de Roses Girona llegó a ser uno de los puertos del Mediterraneo más importantes de España y de Europa por ser un puerto de comercial.
Junto con la Ciudadela de Roses se construyó el Castillo de la Trinidad, también como defensa contra Piratas y Franceses.
Otras de las visitas interesantes es la Ciudadela Visigoda de Puig Rom y el conjunto Megalítico que se expande por todo el Cabo de Creus. Se han llegado a encontrar construcciones funerarias de hasta 5.000 años de antigüedad.
Si visitamos el pueblo de Roses Costa Brava no nos podemos olvidar de dar un paseo por el Casco Antiguo. Un sin fin de tiendas de ropa, Bares con las mejores tapas marineras de la comarca y como no los restaurantes con los platos más exquisitos donde la materia prima esta recién sacada del mar. Platos como el Suquet de Peix o las Paellas de Marisco y todo tipo de carnes llegadas de las montañas del Pirineo hacen las delicias de los comensales.
