Route 66. Where do I even start. Although there are no shortages of clubs in Bangkok this place holds a special place in my heart. Rogerio and I actually first met here almost 3 years ago, both fresh form Cali and single. We used to come here almost every week when this was the hottest club to meet up with the guys with hopes of running into some beautiful girl that we could exchange our line ID’s with.
Since those time, Onyx renovated and opened up a massive EDM only club next door with the fancy lights, Thonglor has also opened a more western style club with open dance floors called Beam which is also more EDM focused as this seems to be what the younger crowds prefer these days.
However Route 66 is still holding it’s own being a larger club that caters to dinosaurs like us who still like lyrics with their songs. Now it’s is a traditional Thai style club with small tables littered throughout the dance floor which I actually like because you can just come and two step your way through the whole thing and not feel pressured to have some kind of dance moves or act like you’re drunk or on drugs to feel like you fit in.
Like to go all out on your dance? Another great thing about this club is that it also has a smaller room with an open dance floor that also does EDM if you aren’t into the hiphop and pop thats playing in the main room. Although it’s not as big and fancy nor does it feature the big name DJ’s like Onyx next door, you have an open dance floor that literally lights up and confuses the crap out of you so you can dance around tripping over people which is what I imagine being on drugs is like. But honestly I am not that into edm so I don’t really know but you have to admit these people look like they’re having fun so I sort of wish I was
Now if you aren’t into ether of this, there is another major room that usually has live Thai musicians but for some reason they were singing a Korean song when I was recording.

I went to RCA or Royal City Avenue is located between Rama 9 Road and New Petchburi Road for tool this VDO. around midnight. RCA is well known about best place of night clubs, Pubs & Bars in Bangkok, Thailand. ONYX Club and ROUTE66 Club are the best destination of choice for local teenagers and tourists. But that area still have many of Local clubs, pubs such as Zay music bar, Tak Sura, Old Reng RCA etc. You can enjoy the night life until 2.00 AM. You can go RCA by take the MRT and get off at Phetchaburi Station or Phra Ram 9 Station and take a taxi to go RCA.
