Rye Patch State Recreation Area is a 2,400-acre state park unit of Nevada, United States, adjoining Rye Patch Reservoir, an 11,000-acre impoundment on the Humboldt River, and the smaller Pitt-Taylor Reservoirs. The recreation area is located at the end of State Route 401 , which connects to Interstate 80/U.S. Route 95 about 22 miles northeast of Lovelock.

Secret to finding GOLD NUGGETS!! - Rye Patch, Nevada Metal Detector Training

Rye Patch, NV. is one of the places many people go to find gold. Gerry's Metal Detectors is one of the top instructors in the field who uses, compares, tests, trains, sells and owns every model of gold detector on the market from the top 5 leading manufactures.
Here is a small group of clients learning their gold detectors. They come from all over the country, but this group is from NV, CA, OR, and ID. Peggy and Brad get to dig the nugget found with a Minelab GPX-5000. We ended up finding approx 6 nuggets with the Pulse Induction detectors and another half dozen with the VLF machines, with the Fisher Gold Bug-2 finding the most.
Hopefully some of the tips shown in this video will help others learn to be Gold Prospectors.
