Sung during our Lenten concert in Timaru. The arrangement is by Michael F. McConnell - Choirmaster for over forty years (and still going!) at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Dunedin, N.Z. This is a hymn about the triumph of Christ over Satan. Gabriel's message to Mary, and Mary's subsequent Yes, is the dawn of our redemption - Out of darkness brings our Day. This opens the way to heaven...

Timaru church to reopen following strengthening work
The sound of music is set to once again ring out from Saint Mary's Anglican Church in Timaru.
The historic Church Street building has been closed for earthquake-strengthening work since January and will reopen in time for the annual Battle of Britain commemorative service this Sunday.
