Alcoy or Alcoi is a city and municipality located in the province of Alicante, Spain. The Serpis river crosses the municipal boundary of Alcoi.
Alcoi had an important industry related to textile, paper, food and metal. Furthermore, it had many factories which manufacture matches. Today, Alcoi is the financial, commercial and cultural center in the surrounding area.
Alcoy hosts the oldest Cavalcade of Magi in the world. The Jesuset del Miracle is commemorated on the last day of January. The most important touristic celebration is Moros i Cristians, in April.

Fuerteventura Caleta e bike
Two hours of fun by electric bicycle from Caleta de Fuste to Castillo up to Antigua and down to Salinas del Carmen to visit the Salt Museum.
I am a long-time motorcyclist but these electric bicycles with heavy low tires cannot be driven cornering like on motorcycle or just steering like on a bicycle, wanting to drive it at a certain speed the first turns on the road to Antigua the ride have been a bit tough.

tradtional village museum
The Ecomuseum Alcogida consists of seven houses restored keeping the traditional architecture of the island, in which we find craft workshops and exhibitions live on what life was like in Fuerteventura peasant in ancient times.
This museum recreates the lifestyle in the countryside in Fuerteventura in the nineteenth century, so we found from simulations of how housing was a humble people, wealthy people, to the offices and activities of that time (Goldsmith, baker, looms , carved stone, grinding grain, straw, etc..), and there is a good representation of the island's livestock (goats, donkey majorero, camels, etc..).
The Museum is divided into several houses in which we find all the elements mentioned above. It is an interactive museum where visitors can see the craftsmen working in situ, and ask any questions you may have.

Welcome to our half term holiday to Fuerteventura in October, 2015. We flew with Easyjet from Gatwick Airport UK to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. We are staying at the Origo Mare Holiday Village near Lajares at the top of Fuerteventura about 15 mins drive from El cotillo and Corralejo. It is owned by the French holiday company Pierre et Vacanes. We are staying half board and hiring a car so we can explore the island. We have planned lots of adventures, off road buggy rides, snorkelling, surfing and plan to have lots of fun! We will upload lots of videos internet willing !!!
