====================
42nd clip for my 24 Hours Project.
Samurai Shoot that took place back in November. It started out as kind of a joke, I was dressed up as a samurai for halloween and two photographers from US had asked me if I wanted to model for this samurai shoot they were planning in the following week. I was like, um, why not? sounds like fun.
Got some nice photos out of this shoot and it was quite fun as well. And I got another video for my 24 Hours Project out of it.
About my 24 Hours Project, please read;
Equipment I use now is
SONY DSC-HX5 and iMovie for editing
Boss MicroBR for recording music
The BGM is played by Kaoru as well, this was recorded in Costa Rica.
I hope you will enjoy the clip!
Thanks for watching!

Welcome to Samurai Town, Kamakura.
In the 12th century, Japan’s first full-fledged military government was established in Kamakura. Still now you can feel samurai vibes from historical sites, such as Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, Hase temple (noted for a wide variety of flowers) and the Great Buddha!
The best way to see the area is by walking and there are entertainments for everyone. Enjoy the aromatic green tea in the bamboo forest in Hokouji temple and be amazed by the beautiful presentation of the local cuisine at lunch time(optional).

Japan Project: Kamakura Daibutsu #Episode 2
Hello everyone! Welcome back to this second episode of the Japan Project! Today I will bring you to visit the Daibustu in Kamakura. Even this episode is recorded using 4k Yi camera as well the Zoom H4n.
I decided to add an OST too in the background because i felt like it was perfect with the cicada sound that we can hear in summer in Kamakura.
I used a flat log profile and color edited with DaVinci Resolve. I'm still trying to work on the coloring part, so any comment is highly appreciated. Do you have any preferred LUT to suggest? How do you usually color grading your footage? Please let me know in the comments below!

Japanese Tachi Sword
Displaying elegant curves and a deadly beauty, this rare tachi sword is the pinnacle of Japanese weapons artistry. The blade was crafted during the Meiji period from 1868 to 1912, at a time when artistry and craftsmanship in swordmaking had reached its peak. Indeed, the tachi emerged as a symbol of status due to the beauty of their decorative sheaths and their overall elaborate ornamentation. This remarkable blade, with its detailed cloisonné ornamentation and graceful curve, is certainly no exception.
Known as a tachi blade, this elaborate sword mounting was traditionally worn blade down, suspended from the wearer's belt by cord through the handle. Created during a time of peace, this particular blade would have been more formal than functional, and its elaborate ornamentation suggests its use was ceremonial.
Elaborate decorative swords began to rise in popularity at the beginning of the 17th century during a time of peace and prosperity in Japan. By the beginning of the Meiji era in the mid-19th century, swords in Japan had become closer to art objects than weapons - though their blades, forged under the ancient techniques, were just as deadly. Opulent and highly decorative, these are some of the most impressive Japanese swords to have ever been created in terms of ornamentation, and were often given as special gifts of honor. Today, these swords are a true rarity and a magnificent find.

Arrow Master Craftsman: Sugiyama Masamune - Stunning Battle Tool
Arrow Master Craftsman: Sugiyama Masamune - Stunning Battle Tool
Master Craftsman: Sugiyama Masamune - 杉山正宗さん (1910-1999)
Manufacture techniques of bow and arrow were being devised from around the middle of the Heian era (794 -1185) and that was completed in the early Kamakura period (1185 – 1333).
Mr.sugiyama was born in 1910. He received the hard guidance from Mr. Toruzu (a craftsman of the Mito clan) since he was 15.
Therefore, Mr.sugiyama's technique will be regarded as a flow of the former Mito clan craftworker.
As arrows use 4 pairs as a set, you need to make 4 arrows of shape, weight, and color…
Mr.Sugiyama passed away on July 6, 1999. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
