San Francisco Ballet School Overview
San Francisco Ballet School offers a challenging curriculum, taught by faculty members drawn from the ranks of SF Ballet and companies around the world. The School benefits from its close relationship with the Company. In fact, the School is a fundamental part of the institution—more than half of the Company’s dancers are graduates. We emphasize strong classical technique, a flow of movement and athleticism that suggests a sense of energy, freedom, and joy. This style—which reflects the kind of dancing favored by SF Ballet—adapts to meet the demands of any choreographer, any company, and any type of movement.

The Making of Gabrieli
An intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the National Brass Ensemble's recording The Making of Gabrieli, featuring interviews with John Williams and America's top orchestral brass players.
The National Brass Ensemble is comprised of the finest brass players in major orchestras across the country. There are twenty-six members, all of whom currently hold principal positions in the Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony, New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Opera Orchestra, and San Francisco Ballet Orchestra.
The musicians gathered in San Francisco/Sonoma, CA for a residency (June 9-14, 2014), which culminated in a concert at the Green Music Center on June 12 and recording sessions at the Skywalker Ranch. Repertoire included excerpts from Gabrieli’s innovative Sacrae symphoniae (1597), arranged for this ensemble by San Francisco Symphony trombonist Tim Higgins, and the debut of a new work by celebrated film composer John Williams. The concert was pursued in partnerships with the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.
Generously supported by Oberlin alumnus Dr. Joseph Markoff, the project was inspired by a historic, Grammy Award-winning recording, The Antiphonal Music of Gabrieli, featuring the legendary brass ensembles of the Chicago Symphony and the Philadelphia and Cleveland orchestras. It has been long admired as the definitive modern performance of Giovanni Gabrieli’s works.
SF Ballet Dance Camp
More information at:
Our Club kids had the amazing opportunity to dance on a very special stage at San Francisco Ballet School!
In partnership with our Clubhouses, San Francisco Ballet School hosted their very first Dance Camp. The camp lasted one week (June 8th to June 12th), and concluded with a public performance. Styles of dance ranged from ballet to West-African funk, hip-hop, and even Bollywood. Our kids bloomed as they learned about the different cultures and where each dance originates.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity awaits with the sale of Easton Point, the San Francisco Bay Area’s most iconic, pristine land of approximately 110 acres. Located at the southern tip of the Tiburon Peninsula offering panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, Richardson Bay and beyond, Easton Point is for sale for the first time in nearly 100 years for $110 million.
With its highly coveted location, Easton Point is just minutes from San Francisco – California’s epicenter of tech, venture capital, finance, arts, gastronomy, and culture. An undulating hillside paradise, the iconic estate is a 110 acre mix of endless vistas, forest and golden meadows, and breathtaking ridge-lines rising up to 590 feet above sea level. Adjacent to Old Saint Hillary’s Open Space Preserve to the north and scenic Paradise Drive meandering along the waterfront to the east and south, Easton Point is a haven of peace, tranquility and nature on an epic scale. Ultimately, a buyer could purchase Easton Point for a single private residence, avoiding the proposed subdivision process, or the buyer could pursue the development of the property consistent with the master plan and zoning approvals.
Formerly the base of the gold rush in 1849, San Francisco remains one of the top global cities across the board as it quickly became the largest and most important population, commercial, naval, and financial center in the American West. From finance, medicine and healthcare, technology, and more, the eclectic and wealthy peninsula is a prime hub of culture, entertainment, and luxury living. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west, the San Francisco Bay on the north and east, the city spans roughly seven square miles and is home to a diverse and ever-growing population.
With its big city feel (and aesthetic), San Francisco is rich in waterfront areas, open spaces, parks, gardens, and beaches. There is no shortage of entertainment with its countless art museums, music venues, and theatres, including their highly acclaimed Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Opera, and the San Francisco Ballet.
Driven by its close proximity to Silicon Valley, there is a high demand for housing. The massive city is divided into ten major real estate districts including the Presidio, Diamond Heights, Ashbury Hights, Castro, Haight Ashbury, Twin Peaks, Noe Valley, Alamo Square, and Downtown.
With so much to explore, all of California is at your fingertips. Whether looking for a weekend getaway to the wine country of Napa and Sonoma Counties to the north, or longer vacations at Lake Tahoe at the east, or day trips to Monterey and Carmel to the south. Just a short ferry ride across the San Francisco Bay, the tight-knit and affluent hamlet of Tiburon was named after the leopard sharks that swim along its pristine coast. Ten miles north of Sausalito, the scenic peninsula is one of the crown jewels of Marin County.

SF Ballet's Must-See Balanchine Trailer
In his eulogy for Balanchine, dance critic Clement Crisp summed up his contribution to ballet: “It is hard to think of the ballet world without the colossal presence of George Balanchine. But we have not lost Balanchine—not the essential Balanchine, who lives in the great catalogue of masterpieces that have so shaped and refined our understanding of ballet and given it—and us—thrilling life.” Thrill to his extraordinary genius with three very different but equally seminal works.
