San Pablo Reservoir
San Pablo Reservoir is an East Bay gem, which offers opportunities to get on the water or view the lake from hiking trails and picnic spots.
Things to Do
Picnicking
Near the children’s playground, lawn and visitor center/café, San Pablo’s picnic sites have great lake views. Sites have tables and barbeques, and a few have gazebos. There are 9 group picnic sites (4 with gazebos) which can be reserved for $60 to $260.
Fishing
San Pablo Reservoir is stocked regularly with trout and catfish, and is known as one of the finest fisheries in the East Bay. Pick up a fishing license, bait and tackle at the visitor center, and talk with knowledgeable staff who can give you tips on the best fishing spots. California fishing license and EBMUD fishing permit required.
Fishing Derbies
From the first day through the last day of the month, buy your $5 monthly ticket, submit your largest catch and be entered to win either a Rod & Reel, a six pack of PowerBait, a 3-month Season Pass or a gazebo rental. State License & Daily Permit required, tickets available at the Visitors Center. Call 510-223-1661 for more information.
Boat Rentals
Patio boats, deluxe motor boats, kayaks and rowboats are available for rental every day. Aluminum fishing boats have a four-stroke motor, great for fishing and cruising. SPECIAL: Rent a boat six times and receive a free 1/2 day weekday rental.
Boat Launch
San Pablo’s six-lane boat launch facility is open daily (including holidays) for motor boats, kayaks and canoes. All boats must be inspected before launch to prevent Quagga Mussels from entering EBMUD waters. To further preserve high water quality, only four-cycle engines and 2-stroke engines equipped with direct fuel injection that are rated 2 stars or greater are allowed to launch at the reservoir. All engines must have star labels that meet the exhaust emission standards set by the California Air Resources Control Board. No paddle boards or personal watercraft are allowed at San Pablo.
Kayaking/Canoeing
You’ll find some of the best flat water kayaking and canoeing in the East Bay at San Pablo. Rent tandem and single kayaks for the day or a just few hours, and paddle along 14 miles of shoreline. You’ll discover sandy beaches, great fishing, and interesting wildlife.

Alvarado Park an outdoor oasis with a unique history
By Zach Chouteau
Everyone has their own favorite alfresco escape in Richmond, and for this ‘Rich Life’ reporter it’s definitely Alvarado Park.
With the main entrance on McBryde Avenue near the Richmond-El Sobrante border, this subsection of Wildcat Canyon is an unbeatable blend of outdoor beauty and gorgeous stone masonry that includes an ancient bridge and picturesque lamp towers.
Cut in half by the Wildcat Creek, now flowing robustly again after our lengthy drought, Alvarado is home to several rentable picnic areas as well as a spacious playground right in the middle of things. Some large lawn areas are ideal for fun and games, but miles of hiking trails make the setting a cool place to explore as well.
Another bonus when things heat up is the wealth of shady areas along the creek. The picturesque park even has a fascinating history and was one time served by its own streetcar line decades ago.
Alvarado is also the previous site of a popular open-air pavilion and roller skating rink, and was also home for decades to Grande Vista Sanitarium—aka Belgum Sanitarium—a retreat for patients seeking mental health services and help for drug addiction.
And today it remains a remarkable retreat for any Richmonder seeking scenery, serenity or just an invigorating hike amid pristine nature. (Photos, video and story by Zach Chouteau)

NYSTV - Real Life X Files w Rob Skiba - Multi Language
If you've never heard of Rob Skiba, this is a good introduction. His knowledge base include ancient aliens, modern aliens, UFOs, Flat Earth, End Time Prophecies, the illuminati, elongated skulls, he was the one who took the boat across Lake Michigan and filmed the Chicago skline, pretty much proving it wasn't a mirage, he just launched a weather balloon with cameras, a truly interesting guest.
This is an interview he did with NYSTV (Now You See TV) which has the best talks on the Illuminati.
Check out Jon Pounders and David Carrico on the Midnight Ride.

Suspense: Crime Without Passion / The Plan / Leading Citizen of Pratt County
A crime of passion, or crime passionnel, in popular usage, refers to a violent crime, especially murder, in which the perpetrator commits the act against someone because of sudden strong impulse such as sudden rage or heartbreak rather than as a premeditated crime. The act, as is suggested by the name (crime passionnel - from French language) is often associated with the history of France. However, such crimes have existed and continue to exist in most cultures.
A crime of passion refers to a criminal act in which the perpetrator commits a crime, especially murder or assault, against someone because of sudden strong impulse such as sudden rage or heartbreak rather than as a premeditated crime. A typical crime of passion might involve an aggressive pub-goer who assaults another guest following an argument or a husband who discovers his wife has made him a cuckold and proceeds to brutally batter or even kill his wife and the man with whom she was involved.
In the United States civil courts, a crime of passion is referred to as temporary insanity. This defense was first used by U.S. Congressman Daniel Sickles of New York in 1859 after he had killed his wife's lover, Philip Barton Key, but was most used during the 1940s and 1950s.
In some countries, notably France, crime passionnel (or crime of passion) was a valid defense during murder cases; during the 19th century, some cases could be a custodial sentence for two years for the murderer, while the spouse was dead; this ended in France as the Napoleonic code was updated in the 1970s so that a specific father's authority upon his whole family was over.
