Sandi Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
The sanctuary is located at a distance of 19 km on Hardoi-Sandi Road in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Sandi Bird Sanctuary is 1 km from Sandi town on Main Road at Nawabganj, near Sandi Police Station of Hardoi district.
Sandi Bird sanctuary was created in the year 1990 in order to protect the natural habitats and aquatic vegetation for the local residents and migratory birds. The Sandi Bird sanctuary is also known by its ancient name as “Dahar Jheel” (Jheel = Lake). The lake's area is 309 ha (3.09 km²). River Garra, formerly known as Garun Ganga, passes near the sanctuary.
Migratory birds rest on the banks of the river before reaching the Sandi Bird sanctuary. The migratory birds begin to arrive at the sanctuary at the beginning of winter in the month of November. Sandi is a tourist As a tourist destination and is of particular interest to birdwatchers. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from December to February. The nearest railway station is at Hardoi (19 km).
In the past, the rare Siberian white crane Grus leucogeranus has been seen here, and some scientists believe it returns under the right circumstances.

Lakh Bahosi Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary is one of the beautiful bird sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh, it spread over two lakes near the villages of Lakh and Bahosi in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh. It is about 40 km from Kannauj. Primarily a bird sanctuary, species from 49 genera can be seen at the sanctuary.
Sandi Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, India. The sanctuary is located at a distance of 19 km on Hardoi-Sandi Road in Sandi in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Samaspur Sanctuary is situated near Salon in Rae Bareli district. It lies at about 122 km from Lucknow on Lucknow-Varanasi highway. It was established in 1987 on about 780 hectares of land. Nearest railway station is Unchahar and the nearest airport is Fursatganj, Raebareli. The best time to visit the place is between November to March. More than 250 varieties of birds can be seen here. Some of the birds come here from a distance of more than 5000 km, including Greylag Goose, Pintail, Common Teal, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Shoveler, Ruddy Shelduck (Surkhab) etc. Local birds include Knob-billed Duck, Lesser Whistling-duck, Indian Spot-billed Duck, Eurasian Spoon-bill, Kingfishers, Vultures etc. Twelve varieties of fish are there in the lake at Samaspur.
Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary, renamed in 2015 Shahid Chandra Shekhar Azad Bird Sanctuary, is a bird sanctuary located in Unnao district on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway in Uttar Pradesh, India. Consisting of a lake and the surrounding environment. It is one of the many wetlands of Northern India. The sanctuary provides protection for 250 species of migratory birds mostly from formerly USSR countries, but the numbers have been dwindling since the 1990s, most having relocated to newer areas in Himachal and Rajasthan. The sanctuary also houses a deer park, watchtowers and boats.

सांडी पक्षी अभयारण्य भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश के हरदोई जिले में एक पक्षी अभयारण्य है।
अभयारण्य उत्तर प्रदेश के हरदोई जिले के संडीला में हरदोई-सांडी रोड पर 19 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है। हरदोई जिले के सांडी पुलिस स्टेशन के पास, नवाबगंज में मेन रोड पर सैंडी बर्ड सैंक्चुरी से 1 किमी दूर है।
सैंडी पक्षी अभयारण्य स्थानीय निवासियों और प्रवासी पक्षियों के लिए प्राकृतिक आवास और जलीय वनस्पति की रक्षा के लिए वर्ष 1990 में बनाया गया था। सांडी पक्षी अभयारण्य को इसके प्राचीन नाम दहर झेल (झेल = झील) के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। झील का क्षेत्रफल 309 हेक्टेयर (3.09 किमी।) है। गर्रा नदी, जिसे पहले गरुण गंगा के रूप में जाना जाता था, अभयारण्य के पास से गुजरती है।
सैंडी पक्षी अभयारण्य में पहुंचने से पहले प्रवासी पक्षी नदी के तट पर आराम करते हैं। नवंबर के महीने में सर्दियों की शुरुआत में अभयारण्य में प्रवासी पक्षियों का आगमन शुरू हो जाता है। सैंडी एक पर्यटक है एक पर्यटक स्थल के रूप में और बर्डवॉचर्स के लिए विशेष रुचि है। अभयारण्य की यात्रा का सबसे अच्छा समय दिसंबर से फरवरी तक है। निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन हरदोई (19 किमी) पर है।

Hardoi is a city and municipal board in Hardoi district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Hardoi district
Hardoi is located at 27.42°N 80.12°E.[3] It has an average elevation of 134 metres (440 ft). Hardoi is located at 110 km from Lucknow (capital of Uttar Pradesh) and 394 from New Delhi (capital of India). The Ganges and several of its tributaries are crossing the south of Hardoi district. Its area is 5947 km2. The record height is 500 ft. In 1995, Hardoi district had 5 km2 of dense forest and 13 km2 of open forest. The length of this district from northwest to southeast is 125.529 km and width from east to west is 74.83 km. District Hardoi comprises five tehsils (Hardoi, Shahabad, Bilgram, Sandila, and Sawayajpur), 19 blocks, 191 Nyay Panchayat, 1101 Gram Sabha, and 1901 inhabited revenue villages. Sandi Bird Sanctuary created in 1990, previously, Dahar Jheel, is an important ecotourism bird habitat.[4] Gomati river flows mainly in hardoi. It also has 7 Nagar Palika Parishads & 6 Nagar Panchayats . Geographical area is 5947 km2. As per census 2011 population of the district is 4091380, out of which Female are 1887116 & Male are 2204264.[4]
