Celebrating Christmas in Summer with Reindeer & Rides - Santa's Village - Jefferson, New Hampshire
Pure Joy, Family Style! Santa's summer home is filled with candy canes, reindeer, rides and fun! We loved visiting this adorable theme park tucked away in the green hills of Jefferson, New Hampshire. The park was incredibly clean and well thought out, with many unique rides and interactive Christmas themed shows and fun. We rode Santa's sleigh, had fun meeting the reindeer, sat on Santa's lap, and danced with elves in the snow. Our campground was located nearly across the street from the entrance and was also beautiful, with two pools, a playground and a petting zoo for the kids. Needless to say, no one wanted to leave and we can't wait to return someday! We visited Santa's Village in the summer, but they are also open in the winter in time for Christmas!

In the depths of the White Mountains in Jefferson, New Hampshire stands one of the oldest amusement parks in the Untied States... Santa's Village. Nearly as old as DISNEYLAND, Santa's Village is a true gem in regards to nostalgic themed parks. I've been wanting to visit my entire life! Join me me for my first ever visit as I tour the property and soak up some holiday cheer.

Quick peek of trip to Santa's Village, Jefferson, New Hampshire
We visited Santa's Village in Jefferson, N.H. in September. We had a great time and the weather was fabulous! There were also virtually no lines which is a bonus for wanting to ride things several times.

Santa’s Village 2019
We rented a cottage in Bracebridge, Ontario for a couple of days and took the boys to Santa’s Village. As you can see, they had a blast! It was such a fun and whimsical place. I can’t wait to take them again in the future!

Gift of Lights | New Hampshire Motor Speedway | Merry Christmas
A group of us from Woodstock, VT headed to Loudon, NH to check out the Christmas light show at the Motor Speedway. We drove the track and looked at the lights through a sudden snow squall, a visit to the gift shop, gathered around a bon fire, roasted marshmallows and ate s'mores. A classic New England family outing. It was my first time to the track and I am ready to go back in the summer to watch some racing! Great time! Merry Christmas!

Fort Constitution Historic Site and Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse
Fort William and Mary was a colonial fortification in Britain's worldwide system of defenses, manned by soldiers of the Province of New Hampshire who reported directly to the royal governor. The fort, known locally as the Castle, was situated on the island of New Castle, New Hampshire, at the mouth of the Piscataqua River estuary. It was captured by Patriot forces, recaptured, and later abandoned by the British in the Revolutionary War. The fort was renamed Fort Constitution in 1808.

This is some video from our recent visit to the Christmas Village that you can visit after driving through the Bull Run Festival of Lights at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia. We go here every year. The lights show is great, and the village is fun, complete with rides, food, smores-making, games, and, of course, the big guy himself, Santa Claus. It's great to walk around here, and I was thrilled to be here during the mild weather this year! Last time we did this it was in the 20's! If you get a chance, you should trip visiting here. Merry Christmas!
