Sapporo Station - First destination in Hokkaido
Sapporo Station is the biggest and the most important transportation hub on the island. Sapporo JR station, Sapporo subway station and Sapporo bus terminal are all located on the same premises within 2 mins walk from each other.
You might ask “Isn’t it just another train station?’ and the answer would be “NO”!
Built in 1880 as only a whistle-stop station, over the years it has grown into shopping paradise and travel destination for millions of Hokkaido visitors.
There are 7 major shopping malls connected to the station with some tax-free shopping available: Daimaru, Sapporo JR Tower, ESTA, Tokyu Department store, Stellar Place, PASEO, and APIA, all of them are within 2 mins on foot.
Moreover, each shopping center has a food court with lots of famous restaurants!

Sapporo's Underground City
So me and my friend was recently in Sapporo Japan and we wondered why the city footpaths were so quiet. We only discovered that everyone were walking in the warm comfort of the underground tunnel. This place is huge. It almost covers the whole city. Too bad we weren't told about this beforehand as it would've helped when we had to carry our luggage in the snow to our hotel which was like 300 metres from the central train station.

A Day in Sapporo Station | Hokkaido Trip | KUROSHI from MALAYSIA
Welcome back to another video of my Hokkaido Trip! :) Today, we'll be heading to Sapporo Station.
Today's going to be a rainy day. So I guess we'll be staying in Sapporo Station for the whole day. I haven't introduced the station yet. Well, Sapporo Station is a JR, subway and bus station which consist of 4 major shopping centres. Stellar Place, Daimaru, Esta and Paseo. (Sorry, in the video I mentioned Apia) It''s a huge place crowded with people, and also the best place to shop. Well, If you'd want me to rate it, I'd say Daimaru is a rather luxurious shopping centre, Stellar Place is above average, and Esta is the average one which I recommend going the most. We hadn't got time to visit Paseo so..... maybe next time. XD
All we did was shop shop shop shop and shop. We basically used all our money here. There's big chain shops here like Uniqlo, Bic Camera, GU, and POKEMON CENTRE!!!!! I bought my new bag here, it cost me MYR 300++ T^T But it's worth it. I also got some new autumn wear cloths and jacket.
To our surprise, there's a whole underground of street right under Sapporo. I did some exploring and found out that the underground street in linked from Sapporo Station to Odori and Susukino Station. (Maybe even more) At night we got some take away Tonkatsu for dinner.
I suppose that's it for the day. Hope you guys enjoyed it too. Stay tune for tommorow!! :)

I can't recommend this place enough to eat good food, enjoy local culture, and most importantly tire the kids out before going to the beer museum.
EAT. A rich variety of restaurants! It is recommended to go to the food court if you enjoy soul food in Japan
SHOP. You can get famous brands products at reasonable price! From world famous and popular shops to local brands.
